I was drinking mezcal from a bull horn like the Vikings to look macho but I guess I was wrong 😂
@MezcalBuzz3 жыл бұрын
Haha, no way, that still works. I think in Durango and some regions of Jalisco, they drink it in a horn. What I mention here is for a more formal evaluation, however, there are many awesome methods to casually sip!

Hey Cindy, thanks for commenting. I hope this video helps. I'm actually working on getting permission to share the form publicly for you to use as well.

I gotta say I APPRECIATE that you pronounce Mezcal properly unlike our fellow Anglo Americans with the 'Hal' ending. 🙃 Even American born Raza pronocues it with the 'hal' ending. Cringe. You my friend, got your self a new subcriber.

Aaaay! Thanks lol yes, I also make sure to pluralize Mazcales and not Mezc•hals LOL Maybe a “how to say Mezcal” short 🤔 Thanks!

A good mezcal that’s 50% or over in my opinion it’s better to taste with a veladora or copita. I noticed that with higher alcohol content the tall glasses concentrate the alcohol smell and masks the smell of the agave.
@MezcalBuzz2 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for your comment. The highte ABV mezcal can def be a bit more invasive. I let the spirit sit a bit before getting a good wiff lol and start with small sniffs. I personall think the veladoras and copitas are way to shallow. Again this is formal and for a complete experience. I really enjoy jicaras though - salud!

@@MezcalBuzz 100% and I'd like to add that Mezcal distillers drink Mezcal straight from the tap with Jicaras, so when in Rome right? Personally, the veladora copitas are too shallow for me as well, I much prefer the wider stout tumblers from Xaquixe.

@@thedrunkweddingphotographer well said. For a complete experience - a study has shown that the taller, champagne style glasses are best to fully feature smell and aromas. However, when it comes to taste, all and any vessel delivers liquid to lips the same 🤤 so… in a more traditional experience I do like to include the jicaras and veladoras. It’s a journey! Cheers
