Filipino subscriber here! I love how you guys would try anything even when you guys have things that you don't like. Like how I love how you guys like the lumpia! The sweet lumpia one is a take on a filipino dessert/snack. The banana is dry because it's plantains. Would probably taste better if the plantain was more ripened. thank you for this video, love yall.

both the pork lumpia and sweet banana lumpia are filipino foods! the sweet lumpia is actually a filipino dessert/street food called turon! we usually coat it in sugar glaze rather than caramel. fried banana and jackfruit might not be for everyone LOL but we looooove turon

That banana "lumpia" is called a Turon, a filipino dish. Usually the caramel isnt drizzled on it like that. Usually it is put on veeerrrryyyy thinly. I think disneyland shouldnt have tried that bcuz a real turon is incredibly amazing lol

Its so funny how the original lumpia in disneyland is the sweet pineapple lumpia. In the philippines, the pork lumpia and banana/jackfruit lumpia are the traditional ones. When i tried the pineapple lumpia i was a litte weirded out but it was good! But im so excited to taste soon how disneyland interpreted our traditional food!

Usually the banana fritters are made from plantains, and from my experience, plantains are a love or hate kinda thing. I'm intrigued by these though! We make lumpia and turon (banana fritters) at home A LOT!

There was a key lime treat at Jolly Holiday last year (for springtime) too, but I don't think it was called a cheesecake at that point, although I could be wrong. Maybe it is made with cream cheese, though. Some key lime pies are made with cream cheese and some aren't (I prefer the ones that are not made with it). Maybe that item got labeled as a cheesecake because of the cream cheese in it, if there is any. I remember people saying that it was very tart, and it sounds like that has not changed!

Lumpia is a Filipino Egg Roll without the egg. It's like a spring roll with meat. Traditionally, you put ground beef, celery, carrots, onions, garlic, soy sauce, but, different parts of the Philippines make it differently and other cultures also make Lumpia. But for the most part, it's a Filipino dish and always in my freezer.

The lumpias are Filipino dishes which had its origin from Chinese immigrants in our country. We have different varieties of lumpia and the pork lumpia is called lumpiang shanghai here and the banana one is called turon. Looking at your video, they used the wrong banana that's why it probably didn't taste good. We use the banana variety called "Saba" which is used for cooking because it's not the mushy banana texture. I guess they don't have that banana available in the US. Too bad

The banana and jackfruit is the original filling for turon, or what Disneyland decided to call “sweet lumpia.” It should be cooked in a coating of melted sugar instead of caramel, and the sides not folded in. Then again banana and jackfruit isn’t for everyone. I’d just wish they would name it properly.

In traditional Filipino cuisine pork “lumpia shanghai” and banana or plantain “turon” are staples. I get you both may not have wide ethnic horizons but I suggest possibly expanding them, especially as a fellow los angeleno. Let me know if you are taking any restaurant recommendations. ;)

Lumpia are the Philippine version of egg rolls. The banana jackfruit ones that you tried did not sound good at all... I make banana jackfruit lumpia, and have never had a dry banana in the center! That’s yucky!☺️
