Tasting the Before Noon Tea at Mimi's Bakehouse- Edinburgh

In this weeks Edinburgh Vlog we were very kindly invited to Mimi's Bakehouse to try their brilliant Before Noon Tea to share with you all. This is a great way to start the day, and gives a great selection of both savoury and sweet treats.
It is only available eat the Leith Mimi's and cost £20 per person on Saturdays and Sundays.

Loved Mimi's cafe video. will try and visit next time we're in Edinburgh. Recently watched you going up Lothian Road & you couldn't identify a large building on the right-hand side. You probably know now but I'll tell you anyway. It's Lothian House and was the Inland Revenue offices where my dad worked from the end of the war until the 60's

This looks good. I enjoy afternoon tea but I prefer savory to sweet because I've been low carb for years. I enjoy the scones and sandwiches but when it comes to the pastries my body starts to revolt because i'm already throwing it for a loop with all the bread and jam. I like one or two small sweets and then I've had my fill. My husband is ok with making up for my bad manners though. 😆 We had tea at The Grosvenor in London (absolutely amazing and over the top) and I almost felt like crying when they gave us free cake at the end to take home. I bet they were confused by the American that was trying to turn down free sugar.

Tony, love your channel so much we are heading to edinburgh twice this year and need your advice. could i request a really dull video on the car parks in edinburgh especially the ones we could use to charge an electric car, edinburgh seems to be lacking some city centre parking from what i can see am i right ? trams are good and buses are good but we really prefer to get into the heart of a city in the car if we can. Keep up the great work its much appreciated.

Are they still doing track and trace or checking vaccination status? I've read a lot of info online and it would be SUPER helpful to get real time info from someone on the ground. Hello. The only restriction is to wear a mask when not seated at your table, for instance going to the restroom. Track and trace is still out going but not many places are pushing it now. Also restraints were never checking vaccine status in Scotland.

Had a few pleasant walks round Leith but never had a coffee or anything. Next time Mimis looks like a must. Not a stuffy old fashioned cafe, looks cheery with a modern menu. Once again, showing us great places to try, hope the tram gives local businesses an influx of tourists. I've found the bus stops hard to find and which number bus to get in the past.
