One of the great things about Ben's channel is the video lengths. I'ts very unusual for these types of channels to run 1,2,3hr episodes. Now normally when I scan through my recommendations/channel subscribe updates etc, anything pushing 20/30mins and your thinking 'well maybe I'll see it out or just check over the bullet parts/points etc' depending on subject matter. The strange thing with Ben's uploads is that it's easy to sail through watching him for an hr+, which I don't normally do (except a film maybe). Testament to his editing and presentation. A perfect example of why I've dumped terrestrial t.v many yrs ago and have now seen channels like Ben's that easily match the quality of style that I used to enjoy through T.V. The merging of same subject channels is a bonus. I also recommend Auto Shenanigans, Mark Felton, Tech moan to name 3 that have that same old T.V quality style.

Enjoyed this one a lot. Steph, you let Ben speak without interrupting every few seconds as seems to happen on every other talk programme. I will check out his utube channel now that I know about it. Thankyou for an excellent presentation. Pet hates are all BMW's (arrogant, ignorant and aggressive drivers) that never use indicators and lately the bigger newer Audi's. Range Rover drivers are in a class of their own entitlement. 60 years driving/riding and I believe courteous and capable.. Watch the incoming flak. Haha

Hi Steph, great interview with Ben, watched it on both channels. I couldn't believe the abuse and harassment you have suffered, too many mindless idiots about on the internet! Your Proton and Ben talking about a Lada bought memories back! When Your Proton was new, a 20 something me was working at a Proton dealer in the Midlands, they also sold Lada. What I can remember is that a PDI (pre delivery inspection) on a Proton was basically a quick check to make sure everything worked, levels etc, and there was never a problem and they rarely came back under warranty. The Lada,,s were a different story! The most popular and worst model at the time was the Riva. Usually the PDI started with trying to get the doors to fit and close properly, they rarely did, due to misalignment of the bodyshell. They also made the dealership a fortune in warranty work, usually broken components. Great channel and keep up the great work!

A very interesting interview with someone who I confess I had never heard of before this video. I agree with him on parts supply here in the UK. When a car was built parts were available for a period of time but it seems there comes a point when manufactures say 'well that car should be off the road now so we don't need to hold parts for it anymore'. It is down to economics I think from the manufacturer's point of view but it wasn't always the case, you could go into a 'car shop' and buy a 'bit that goes on . . .' without much problem. Anyway thanks Steph for doing this video, very well done and of course thanks to Ben for agreeing to be interviewed . 👍👍

The parts thing at the video is true its a right pain at times. Plus the quality is so hit and miss, I am doing a MG Midget at the moment so not a rare car but I am still using about 5 suppliers. My issues were as daft as a gap opening up next to the plastic trim on the transmission tunnel where I would see the road below. A fusebox cover that fell open when you went over bumps. Various trim issues and a door handle that broke off. And the nail in the coffin was an intermittent engine loss of power issue that I spent a fortune on but never fixed. I sold the car with 25000 miles on the clock. I only had it for one year. I noticed it disappeared off the roads only a few years later!
