I like Wendy's chili. I made some a week ago. Yesterday I browned some onions in a wok along with a green bell pepper and some cans of stewed tomatoes and chili seasoning. I stripped the carcass of a roasted chicken and tossed what meat was left into the pot. The rest I just kind of winged with what was handy. I liked it a lot with tortillas and refried beans. It was even better the next morning with eggs. Real chilli fanatics will claim chilli doesn't have beans. I like it either way. Beans are a good source of fiber and protein. This is a good start, but don't be afraid to get creative. Make hers a few times then see where you can go from there.

Wendy's was my first job in high school. The secret to Wendy's chili is to leave burger patties warming on the grill too long, and once they're unacceptable to eat as a burger you throw them in the Burger Bucket with no refrigeration and at the end of a 12 hour day you chop it up and throw it in the giant vat of frozen chili that's been defrosting in the back for 8 hours for the next day. I was eventually a manager and had to work at every location in my city at one point or the other and this was standard practice at all of them. Don't eat chili from Wendy's.

Okay that's perfection! The ONLY thing I'd do differently is add some green pepper because it's a personal preference. Gorgeous plated with the cornbread and a bit of cheese on the top. Wendy's is my husband's FAVORITE chili. He'll kiss you for this.

Copy Wendy’s chilli?! I’ve never eaten it, but my wife’s chilli from my recipie 45 years old is the best in the world. Although the sugar and better additions are worth exploring…

Yes add some green peppers. The Wendy's Chili in the can is passable but not worth the price. I grave chili at least 4 times a week.

Sounds odd but Wendys adds sugar to their chilli. I tried it with this recipe, (added 1 Tbsp.). It does improve the flavor!
