I imagine this took the creator several years to accomplish. All those quick saves and loads for perfect RNG plus RNG manipulation. You have to know a ton about the game to even attempt something like this. Well done.

so many of these sound effects, I don't think I ever heard playing the game. did my memory block them out or are the effects different in some copies? yeah, ps1 copy, but..ehh? like the footsteps of the women being so loud, the monsters coming out of the sewage under the Garden, I almost beat this game but cannot recall EVER hearing those sounds.. but I remember almost all the other ones. did different copies have different sounds?

I began my final fantasy journey with FF7. It ended with FF8 which I was perplexed by. I called it "Final Fantasy for Teens", or in more modern parlance, Twilight Fantasy.

@Gaea11 Old tech actually doing us a favour then, lol. Do you know why the runner keeps using the run away command in battle? Is it altering the ATB somehow?
@kevinlopezobrien53663 жыл бұрын
@@thediamonddust could be either screwing around since there's nothing else to do while waiting, or it could be RNG manipulation. With these runs, it feels like a coin flip as to which it is sometimes.

CRT television smoothed out a lot of the pixels. Video games were actually designed to look this pixelated just so the CRT television could capture the image in a way that looked relevant to what the artest perceived. In truth most remasters and remakes should have a crt option. It's a shame they don't think to include that. A lot of companies think people are ok with it looking like this. Tbh some people are, but new kids see this and think it's just becuase it's old technology, that's not the case with most games made for CRT's. This game being one of them.
@WannabeMarysue3 жыл бұрын
I think the big ol' pixels look great. They make the game look like intricately animated pixel art. CRT filters are whatever, but tbh I appriciate the way these games look on modern screens just as much. Just these spectacular, crisp low-poly dioramas.

@BaccarWozat3 жыл бұрын
It's ironic that someone posts about irony and then shows how it is apt instead.
Battle screens had anti-alias? I thought only N64 games were able to afford that back then! EDIT: that doesn't seem to apply to all battle scenes, but it sure does in the Fire Cavern.
