Probably because of Kazuma Kujo. This was the only one he worked on, so likely after he left Nazca dialed up the wackiness.

I have trouble with getting past the second stage..😅 Thought, It was funny to watch the TAS getting the characters pixel perfect position on top of each other, and grenade spamming the bosses.
