Pokémon: Ruby ( tasvideos.org/... ), Sapphire and Emerald form the third generation of Pokémon, after Pokémon: Gold ( tasvideos.org/... ) and Silver ( tasvideos.org/... ). Noticeable differences include the graphics and interface, Pokémon abilities, and running shoes that allow the player to move around much faster in the overworld before getting the bike.
In this movie, GoddessMaria ( tasvideos.org/... ) applies her experience with TASing the game's alternate modes to a full run, finishing in under an hour and twenty minutes using lots of luck manipulation. At some point, her trainer gets fed up with all these slow battles, flies to the end, and storms the Elite Four throwing bad eggs at anyone who wants a fight.

Note: To play the vbm, you need to have Real Time Clock on and Flash 128k as the Save Type. Real Time Clock is for sync, while Flash 128k is to prevent the game from displaying a white screen.

Wally's choices in the catching Ralts tutorial were too slow, but it's a good thing in this TAS and on the Ruby/Sapphire one change the natures of the Pokemon to finish this faster.

Someone probably already answered, but whatever. D-Pad inputs affects the RNG, in fact, when he does it it either makes a trainer face another way, avoid a fight, or make critical hits happens. Also, i guess it kinda affects the random pokemon fights in a way too.

Some memory was manipulated when she had zero usable Pokémon, that's why she stuck around in the Pokémon selection screen so long at some point. The memory was altered to enable being able to fly there. See the "Manipulating RAM Corruption" section on the submission's author's comments.

The goal of the run is to enter the Hall of Fame as fast as possible using only controller inputs. No part of this goal disallows glitches. If you'd like to see a glitchless run, take a look at the Ruby TAS which is just as impressive.

Luck manipulation, a lot of turn based games for (S)NES/GBA systems RNG is directly tied with inputs, particularly the D-pad. So between being on the right frames and right inputs you can force crits, make wild pokemon (de)spawn in certain zones, make it so crits won't happen, break speed ties in your favor, monkey with starting EV/IVs, force certain pokemon natures(not change it but what you would get), change exp gain values, ect in the case of pokemon.

Well that's not entirely true: you can receive a shiny pokemon from Gen 1 to Gen2, so tecnically, that pokemon was a shiny, but it didn't show until the change.

Well I mean it's a bug. Sometime your Pokemon becomes bad egg. Don't know the cause though but you have to reset your game if that happened.
