Nexon is a much more polished product. It does the basics right and now has got a lot of flair too, thanks to the futuristic looks and better equipment. It is safe to say Tata is indeed the king of Indian EV segment.

Nexon is way ahead than XUV in all dept. Tata just left others way behind almost 4-5 yrs with this masterpiece 😊

V2L and V2V features are a game changer too, only Atto 3, Ioniq and EV6 have this feature and cost 16L+ more than Nexon. Future definitely is using your car as an energy storage device to compliment GRID for peak supply. Tata is surely thinking ahead and Mahindra is trying to play catchup after destroying their own lead some 15 years back.

The LFP battery chemistry on the Nexon has a longer lifespan/life cycle than the XUV 400 which is an older, fire hazard NCM batteries. Leaving all aside, This fact makes the Nexon a winner.

Tata's is the second generation EV and it looks much more well designed and sorted out..Also, Mahindra's dashboard and control looks archaic. Cars are not supposed to be cockpit of a fighter plane with 1000 buttons and things.

Nexon EV is winner as new one is a "Complete Car" compared XUV 400 (also that many of its owner are facing multiple issues because of it batteries, primary component of an EV).... And as far as length is concerned, one can agree the 400 is bigger but one would ignore that for rest of features it doesn't offer... Also i believe Nexon is faster (and better than Nexon ICE versions) 11:34 Also thats a lot of Nos

Actual range is only 190km.. and at 150 km it will slow down... does anyone agree with me. Wonder how they calculate range??? We got wait this way until they give a range of 5000km in next 5yrs it seems. 5000KM would at least give 500km on beast/ fearless mode

Going down the line I think the Tatas are going bring more value within the supply chain due to their group companies working more around localising their battery and motors.... Mahindra on the other hand is going use the skateboards and motors from vw in their future products....

ARAI claimed range is such a joke! They are claiming 450km + range while in reality it’s almost half (240 odd km)! These manufacturers are advertising this wrong range everywhere, this is an obvious fraud! Govt should take some action

@@shresthsonkar9207 dude i m nt against EVs in fact I am planning to get tiago ev for myself! My point is that this ‘ARAI claimed range’ is way off than what the actual number is. Yes everyone knows advertised mileage is always high bt its not that off for example if some car manufacturer says mileage of 24 km/ltr car can actually give you 15-17 km/ltr. Here ARAI is claiming literally the double range than what it really is n thats very wrong. In future ARAI might claim range of 1000 km while it will be around 450 in real world! Isn’t this fooling and misleading the public? I know ARAI is a government entity but it must make necessary changes or stop giving this ‘claimed range/mileage’ for all vehicles.

Ideally ramp over angle, since just ground clearance doesn't tell if we will clear a speedbreaker in India. Flat obstacles GC is enough.

Nexon EV facelift edition of 2023 is a clear cut winner when compared with XUV400 XUV400 suffers from poor range, poor battery lifespan, and outdated interiors and being a new entrant - possibility of unknown issues.

I would like to mention one major difference, the LFP Batteries let you change to 100% where as the other are mostly limited to 80% charge. This is a big deal, as every time you get out of your home, you are tank full instead of 80% full.

XUV 400 is far better than NexonEV new and old. Lot of glitches are there in NEXON. You will fall in love, if you drive XUV 400 once. those who love driving, 400 is good. But for beginners and feature lovers, other one is suitable.

I understand that Xuv400 can't match feature to feature but how can you miss on basics like rear ac vents, charging points, rear Armrest in 20 lakhs. Will you be comfortable without rear ac?? I think they thought only 2 pax will travel in the cae 😂

Mahindra needs to catch up big time! they are getting left behind in the EV space. Just like TATA did, they need to commit to EVs wholeheartedly and not make half-assed statements about uninteresting products that always seem to launch 12-18mths down the line. They need their own 'Game-Changer', and they need it right now.

Nexon have only 3star rating for child occupant whereas Xuv do have 5star rating for both adult and child occupants. So obviously Mahindra is more safe.

Go to nearest Mahindra showroom and take Xuv400 for test drive and you will understand what is real prfomance. It has less features compared to nexon but the features they provide are reliable and the car is fantastic. New nexon has got many bugs and no proper update is provided for eveyone. Just in words Nexon is a "Half baked Cake".

@@90zkid With the last update of 2024 XUVs interior does feel more premium and better fit and finish.Also have Rear AC went which you are love in with. I don't have any problem with TATA and I was even ready to buy Nexon EV and done a testdrive fortunately the rear seat space and comfort disappointed me .when I saw XUV400 and done test drive The space, Comfort, Perfomance, Road presence everything was better . I felt XUV will be VFM and bought it. But later from EV group of Kerala I Understood TATA is using very cheap batterys , Very unstable technologys etc. Then I felt really happy that I didn't fell into TATAs Trap and now in safe zone. After I understand the trap of TATA I don't want anyone to fell in that. That's the only reason I am putting these comments. When KZbinrs say TATA is better I feels like they have got money from Tata or maybe they don't know the probs os Tata EVs. Even now after 6 months of release the new Nexon is not still stable. Where considering everything. Mahindras technology feels very stable and premium. I have already mentioned every problem in the previous comment which I am repeatedly hearing in our All Kerala EV group. In the group now there are Members who sold their Nexon EV Max and got XUV400. If TATA was proper and Stable why would they do that. Hope you understand Everything. If TATA will make a perfect EV. Obviously next time I will consider that for my next vehicle. 😃😃

Mahindra can't seem to do an original good design which is actually new, exciting and can stand the test of time. XUV400 is a rebadged Ssangyong Tivoli from 2015 and it was 8 years ago and not to say even that was the most exciting at the time.

Reallly surprised to see none of the 2023 cars offer 100kw fast charging. Nexon at 30KW will take about 1.5 hours for a full charge. On the road, thats just unacceptable. XUV is definitely better at 50KW but still not what both of these firms should be aiming for.

The video quality and the equipments used in AutoCar video production is extremely outdated. The exposure is horrible, ultimately leading to 2010 looking videos and dynamic range. The amazing content AutoCar puts out deserves a much better quality videos. Perhaps they can take inspiration from ThrottleHouse.

How big is your Family.? How many people? if more than 6 or 7 . Go Get 2 compact SUVs rather than one big mid size one safari/ XUV 700 top end models cost over 30lakh at that price you easily get 2 Nexons mid model you almost carry 10 people in 2 cars rather than 6/7 in same price + 350 Liters bootspace x2 = 700liters of Total boot is more than sufficient that mere 100liters in big SUVs.

Nexon Ev: 21.5 lakh, Nexon: 15 lakh, assuming petrol at ruppees 100, you can drive the Nexon petrol for upto 75000 km anf break even for the price of EV

Don't forget the road tax on ICE Nexon which is not there on EV. So effectively top model ICE Nexon costs around 18 lakhs while EV costs around 22. Not to forget about minimal service charge which will again save you 1 lakh. You are spending just 3 lakhs more for EV which will give breakout at 30k kilometre

TATA completely eliminated those blue elements all over the Nexon, because of this the new EV looks so much cleaner and modern 🤩 On the other hand Mahindra just blindally copied TATA's desin and changed the color to copper 😂

I like the XUV400, it's an EV still it's old school, unlike the Nexon EV with gimmick features and design
