Hi TAT, I've been watching you for a while but I'm from the UK. Mercedes in Europe use the dd13/dd15 and just going to your service interval, over here we do upto 150,000km between engine oil and fuel filter services. You guys over there do oil changes very early compared to Europe, I wonder if you have different filter systems but it all looks very similar. I've used your chanel for the low oil pressure issue and it helped me locate that fault with the tubes on the oil pump so thanks for that. On another note I saw on one of your videos a genuine part that you used on a video and it has the part number we use over here, started A 471 *** ** **. The 471 is the engine code we use in Europe and mercedes don't like use using dd13/dd15 on all training merceces say its their engine but they own each other to some degree anyway! Anyway keep up the good videos its very helpful for me and I'm an experience dealer technician but the training is nothing like what you offer on here! Thanks

Running fuel treatment in your engine is important. Like he said you stop here and there and you don't know what is in the tanks at the fuel island. Changing fuel filters and running fuel treatment help save for costly repairs. I run diesel clean in my truck once a month to keep the pump and injectors lubricated and cleaned of impurities or dissolve them.

Hey TAT I love the show, you are doing great on this channel. So I just took my dd15 in for an overhead valve adjustment and cam housing gasket replacement. Also repaired the transmission. Truck was down for about 3 weeks. Picked it up today and it sounds weird. It's a loud puttputt sound, when the truck is going 70mph and not accelerating it sounds a bit more like the classic chuga chuga sound a train makes. Also there is a weird smell coming through the vents, maybe burnt diesel. What do you think?

I replace my primary fuel filter at 25000 and the secondary every 50k and use HOT SHOTS LX4 LUBRICITY ADDITIVE once a week. I had 720k on my 2018 dd15 when my fuel pump finally came apart. I stand by hot shots product

Brother I'd love to hear your input, Im torn BTW the dd15 and volvo d13. Im in the process of getting a used truck 2018 - 2020, but not sure what engine would be more reliable. I have a couple of volvos and they have been great. I have noticed a lot of big fleets in the industry going full Cascadias with dd15s, also a lot of good deals on those trucks VS volvos, not a lot of used volvos available. They tend to be more expensive when you find them. Not sure whether that's a good sign compared to Cascadias (lots of them available). What would you buy based on your experience, whats more relible with less downtime out of the 2 engines. Codes and diagnostic are not a problem, I have all the sofwares to check them both. Thanks for your time and videos. They have been a great support system.

Have you had the issue where smoke comes in through the cab air vents it's a bluish gray smoke and smells of unburnt raw diesel I was told it is the injector cups. Also another issue is periodically there is a burning rubber type smell but upon inspections I can never find any thing burning melting or drifting just wondering if you've ever ran into that before

What causes dd15 to have a squeaky chirping noise in the area of #4 cylinder to the back, , no fuel is mixing with coolant, no oil and coolant is mixing, not losing power either, turbo and serpentine pulleys are OK, check physically, last oil change is 14000 miles ago , all filters are in immaculate condition
