That is Gonja tribe they have converted to Islam, but they are indigenous Ghanaians who are closely related to Akans. There are two groups in Ghana who one could appropriately called zongo, the Hausa and Fulani who are NOT indigene of Ghana but were brought to Ghana to fight on the side of Britain and never returned to Nigeria after the war and so they do not own lands in Ghana, when people called members of our proud northern tribe zongo I personally feel very offended. Great video thanks for showcasing our proud culture.

Taty, the content was great and very beautiful ceremony all around. First of all, super nice of you to place the spotlight on Amina and her twins. Naming ceremonies should always be festive and meaningful. Our Zongos are the same as we all, in regards to mannerisms and culture. We saw Ala for a brief moment! You captured all the preparation of foods and arrival of drummers and some guests very nicely. Your dancing captured a lot of attention among the ladies. They were "spraying" you man! Glad to see the mix of Hausa and Twi. Also the father of the twins narrating the ceremony and meanings behind various actions was very insightful and good. As always we look forweard to more content. Great job!
