I just followed this technique today with my faux locs in the color T1B/30 that I ordered off Amazon and I must say, you are a lifesaver! I have been doing crochet styles for 5 months now and haven’t had faux locs for a few years. My hair is very short and thick and I was afraid that it wasn’t going to look right. The net cap was very easy to use and once I worked my way to the top part of my head while using the kinky hair, it makes it look even more natural and a lot more fuller to finish it off. This came out great! I would've stopped after you added a few at the top once the band was cut, but that's only because I prefer less volume. My head is super sensitive to tension, and my last attempt at installing braidless crochet was a fail. You've inspired me to try it again, but this time use the cap. I'm hoping that the cap will give me the security I need, without the tension 🙏🏾.

I honestly don't get the point of the net if she already made all the ponytails. Now if she had crocheted some to the net, put it on and crocheted the rest like she's doing, I can see how that would be of some benefit. No way am I ever attempting to cut that band myself but her real hair is short so I guess it's not as risky.

I believe you can add more crochets with the net then you can with amount of ponytails based on the spacing. I know this method helps people who can’t braid or suffers from alopecia 🤷🏾‍♀️ I’ve also seen people make wigs with the net… I could be wrong. Lol
