Well, the important thing is that Alexandre's father Albert has always been in his life from when he was born, despite Albert's need to keep it quiet while his own father was still alive. Prince Ranier died in 2005 when Alexandre was 2. As is known, Albert also has a daughter out-of-wedlock whom he did not know about when she was born. After learning about her, Albert has acknowledged her as well. She and Alexandre met and have bonded as half-siblings. She is pictured in this reel with Albert and Alexandre. Albert has not only embraced his two out-of-wedlock older children, he has ensured that they know their royal half-siblings, the younger twins who are Monaco's heirs. It is at least a good thing that Albert acknowledges, embraces, and seemingly loves and provides for his older two children, in addition to making sure they enjoy a fulfilling life. Thus, love and acceptance are why Alexandre seems well-adjusted, responsible, and eager to serve the Monaco principality. Part of the difficulty early on had been Albert's family's rejection of Nicole and the pressure on Albert to marry someone considered more acceptable. That is the major reason why Albert married Charlene because she has the 'Grace Kelly' look. That has not led to a happy marriage. Plus, Charlene had desired to escape marrying Albert when she learned about his other children and about his former long-term relationship with Nicole Coste.
