Daydream - "English version" Translation: "Heidr" Adaptation by: Me Gasping as you watch, paint, glow! Turning heads up high, as you look to the sky! Drifting like the air, feeling buildings high! Fragmentary scarlet, glass green. Flowing into violet, shock pink. Swirling like a rose gray, pale blue. In a minute's glee! Rolling through the street, a thread hits its beat. Passing you and me, stretching far as can see. Prepping for a scene, bouncing polka dot beam. Pulverized wine red, carmine. Flowing into cocoa brown, yellow. Swirling like a cherry, dark orange. Within a flash you see! "Daydream", Summer afternoon's gold wonder! "Daydream", oooh-oo-ooh! "Daydream", hope and pray I doze away and then, I'll see it too! Painted by a hand, and a spray can. Exceedingly bold, steps show: Rainbow coloured glee, as they start to flee. Forming as they grow, to a, parade! "Daydream", Summer afternoon's gold wonder! "Daydream", oooh-oo-ooh! I hope some of you found an appropriate level of enjoyment out of this! Thanks a ton for the translation from, "Heidr" ( Source: lyricstranslate.com/en/daydream-daydream.html-2 )! I tried my hardest to make a coherent, syllablely-fitting, "Transposition" of his translation, and despite how difficult that was, I found some fun in it. For the most bit, this adaptation sounds like jibberish-- and I wholly get that. Tatsuro used so many long words, it was difficult to adapt it without using loads of short English words to fill-out the syllable-count in his Japanese ones. I tried my hardest, but alas, I cannot provide pristine perfection. So if any of you had recommendations for a lyrical fix-- or even your own take on the translation, I'd be ecstatic to hear it!
