Here is the final episode of Tattletales from 1984. I'm a huge fan of this series so this was an easy decision to upload.

Bert expressed hope twice-once at the beginning, and once at the end of the show-that they would be back. Obviously the fate of the show was in question on the day of taping. You could really see a sadness in Bert's face at those times. I wish they could have gone on for a season or two more. Rest in peace, Mr. Convy; you were a lovely person. We need men like you in the world today.

Truth, though they got placed in the crap time slot of 4 p.m. which meant the death of quite a few game shows, including Press Your Luck. Most CBS Stations that weren't O & Os decided they would rather air local programming. My Local CBS station carried a weekday movie through to 1988.

Bert’s entrance here could be seen as a paean to He Said She Said, which was the name of the original version of Tattletales. Joe Garagiola used to make his entrance walking through the audience at NBC studio 6A or 6B in New York.

If CBS would’ve bring back Tattletales the money amount would’ve been $1500 first round, $3000 for the second round, $4500 for the third round and $6000 for the four final round the blue, yellow (Bert calls it Banana section), or red section would split the money. Usually the winning section wins the money but also received prizes Johnny Olsen provided to the audience as well. Rest In Peace Bert Convy and Johnny Olsen!

Well, somewhat know her. It’s been pretty much a year and a half since I known her.

The biggest problem for this show was, it was aired at 4PM right after “Guiding Light”, a soap opera which has been on for so long. The others were “Capital”, “As The World Turns” and “Young and the Restless” were soap operas. That’s why that “Tattletales” aired at 4PM which was after the kids coming home from school that day. At 4:30PM, they ran local programming.
