What pens did you do for the outlining? I have been having a hard time finding a pen that goes smoothly but isn’t smeared by alcohol markers.

Hey there ! Ive been using the pigma micron, at least I used them lots when I was making stencils on tracing paper. But in most of my pencil crayon drawings I only use black pencil crayon since the microns can’t go over the waxy crayons well

@@inkbychelb Thank you! Did you find that potential mentors preferred you to work in a certain medium or where they open about that in your experience?

An appreciation of eye line and ellipses will move you on very quickly, as this consistent error stands out throughout

How much was tracing a part of your early work? Was it encouraged or discouraged?
@inkbychelb5 ай бұрын
All of my early early work was not traced (any stencils on the tracing paper or middle/high school projects ) , i wasn’t pressured too much but I definitely pressured myself a little to make sure I learned how to draw things myself just for practice. Now these days, I really only trace if I have to do a flower piece or if someone wants a specific cartoon pose/scene. But with the style I specialize in now, it requires soooooo much customization, so there’s like never any tracing.
