This helped so much. I’ve had multiply. Full day sessions and never had issues. I recently went to a new artist and he was really rough with wiping me. I’m currently still healing and one area I thought was infected, but turns out… the skin is just chafed from the wiping. Very uncomfortable healing process. This helped explain it.

Thanks for the feedback, and yeah.... WTF is up with trying to rip skin off a person who is paying you to do a job?! If any other tradesperson did the same thing, society would toss them into the sun! So, why do tattooers get that pass?

Is dish soap okay to use

I prefer not to. It’s concentrated formula is too strong for most applications outside it’s designed use. Using strong detergents on skin can destroy the microbial ecology as well as damage the skin if not diluted to a concentration low enough when mixed with water.

Is using baby wipes a good idea?

I don’t know tbh. I could see that it could be alright but the alkaline nature of those wipes could hurt the skin more than help. Plus cost/use would be much greater than just being nice and wiping soft.
