Great game fellas, ive just got into 40k and started collecting tau and BT so this is really helpful! One question is ive heard that as tau you dont have to actually use the drone models, is that right?

@frothybevvy4706 nice, two great army choices there! And welcome to 40k matey. Yeah basically they are just markers to show you and your opponent that you are using a drone ability on that unit. Technically you don't need the physical model on the table 👍

I did indeed 👍🏽 The idea was that they were a lost Tau and stuck on a planet with no rotation and they were on the darkside. Using the planets electrical core to harness energy etc etc

Callidus isnt meant to kill stuff of. You should have kept her behind , just to help you get more secondaries later in the game. That being said, those Black Templars are very well painted! And those T’au are also amazing! Keep it up!

The plan was use her for secondaries originally but the fluff bunny in me forced me to drop her down to slice and dice, sadly it led to a bitter end for her 😔 thanks man!! 👍

The devilfish won't give you ignore cover when you shot the breachers. Ideally you'd have guided with the stealth suits if they have markers which would have given you all those ones back on the hit and ignore cover. Not have used overwatch and a CP for the +1 ap strat for two units for the breachers and the stealth suits. That would have made him need to save nearly 30 4+ saves with just the breachers. Then with the fireblade and and stealth suits it was probably a squad wipe or nearly.

@@dailydice I've made this exact mistake in a game before and you remember it 🥲. Removing cover and nullifying armor of contempt is the difference between breachers doing nothing and doing everything. Also tell or don't tell him 😄 that the devilfish is great for charging into whatever is left of the unit after shooting so they can't touch your breachers. Next turn the fish is still alive and falls back and then the breachers shoot the survivors off the point. Also don't forget tank shock and grenades when theres just 1 or 2 wounds on a model like that assassin.
