Taurus 605 Quest for the perfect grip

I have a 605 and have tried a few different grips myself. I used the Hogue rubber. That grip you settled on looks good👍

The older Taurus boot grips actually shot well. With .357. mine, the brass emblem kept tarnishing and getting gooey green on my hand.

Those little grips they put on it are too small for me. What upsets me is that they made it difficult to remove it. There is no reason for this.

Yeah, I remember having some difficulty hammering that pin out of the factory grip. I think they use the one piece grip with a pin because it is the cheapest way to get the job done.

Did you polish the cylinder or did it come like that?

I polished it up with some Mothers polish and a felt wheel on a Dremel tool. I like the look, and it makes it easier to clean they cylinder.

The Pachmayer grips that I showed at the beginning and end of the video? Yeah, there is just a tiny bit of play when they're installed. My band-aid fix was to use tape to fill up the gap. I was thinking about putting a thin layer of epoxy on the inside of the grip and sand it to fit exactly, but I haven't attempted that yet. Just searched on ebay and found MBT grips for this revolver. They look like they could be good, but I've never tried them or even heard of them.

Faster please, I do know how to change a grip, but watch just to reinforce my opinion! Teaching is an art, and most people are painting by numbers!😅😅😅😅😅
