I’ve used the G2C for EDC for over 5 years now. After thousands of rounds through it, I’ve NEVER suffered a misfeed failure or failure to discharge. Plus I am that geek who loves the thumb safety (I own Glocks too). I simply love the pistol. It’s so easy to carry IWB you never even notice it’s there. They are available at PSA right now for only $250. It’s a great pistol at a great price virtually anyone can afford. BTW, Glock’s QC has deteriorated quite a bit in recent years.

The G2C is a really good firearm. I still would prefer a 43x but I would be very confident carrying a G2C. It’s reliable and well made.. Taurus did a good job..

Glocks are overrated, they're like the iPhone of the firearms world. I never had an issue with my G2C at the range, and yes, it's my EDC. My next purchase will be the G2C .40.

I routinely go between a Taurus G2C and a Glock 19 gen 5 for concealed carry. Both Glock and Taurus today are worthy options for a defensive handgun. I've had decades of experience with both brands and honestly will personally endorse both of them. Taurus is an older company with an interesting history for anyone willing to do the research. Their quality control improved dramatically in the early 90's and with the exception to a few hiccups they've been a reputable brand for some time now.... GREAT VIDEO!!!

I’ve had my G2C (40 s&w) for about a year now approx 350 rounds and only one stove pipe in the beginning attributed to owner error. It’s a great firearm, I trust my life on it.

My G2c is a great pistol. I have no complaints. The trigger is not bad just different from most single action striker pistols. When someone sees something different from all they know they often call it bad especially if they have not tried it or don't know how to operate it. The restrike trigger is like a double action where the trigger should be staged or prepped so that when on target the slack is already taken up and the shot breaks on the target. By doing this along with the short reset, the G2c can be run very fast and its accurate also. It is proven to be very reliable also. I have over 600 rounds through mine of all kinds of ammo and its still flawless. Yes I do prefer a manual safety on a light single action trigger striker pistol but those that don't like it don't have to use it. Thanks for sharing.

I've been wanting to get a sidearm to open carry for a while now to protect me anytime I need to go to Jackson ms(which happens more often than I want with my job) and my wife and daughter. I've never owned a gun and hardly fired many. I've fired some rifles, revolvers, a shotgun, and a pistol like those, but that's bout it. I've looked at pawn shop guns and guns at bass pro shop and the Taurus g2c was recommended to me at bass pro shop and stuck out to me. It wasn't the cheapest, but it was a good price I can afford. This video has been very informative and has convinced me this is the one I want. I will still do more research before buying it such as how to clean and handle it. Thank you for the video and helping me beside my first gun.

Get the Taurus.. g2c in 9mm i have a couple.. never had an issue with either.. took my concealed carry course with a pt111 which is the same gun same manufacturer shot 100 rounds that day and not one issue.. will they last 10k rounds i have no idea but 95% of shooters won't put 1k through their firearm

Take a look at Canik as well. I've got a couple Taurus G2C's and the discontinued T145 (45ACP version) as well as a couple Caniks. I think the Canik would be the better buy, without any doubt.

Dude buy which ever fits your hand the best and that your able to shoot the best and make sure its a decent name brand either one of the guns mentioned in the video and many others are rly good guns the most important part of buying a gun for self defense in my opinion is to make sure it fits you and your comfortable with it in your hand and also comfortable carrying it if that's what you intend to do with it!

I bought a G2C from PSA years ago in a $300 combo deal complete magpul lower and G2C. So I basically paid $150. I bought 15rd and 17rd mags with have been great. I only use the 12rd mags at the range, as this thing carries fine with the 15rd mag. While I'd definitely love to upgrade when I can afford it, it won't be to buy something more reliable, as I can't remember any issues with the G2C. It'll just be for something I just like better. Love my g2c. I upgraded the barrel with a lakeline threaded barrel and micro comp., stainless steel internals and upgraded recoil spring, also fiber optic red in the front and green in the back 3 dot sight, and finally upgraded trigger with a keep tinkering trigger.

Took me a lot of time to get use to the new Taurus trigger design, other than that it’s a popular budget friendly pistol. Never had any issues after 2200 rounds. I would recommend for anyone for everyday conceal carry

As much as I hate to admit it, Taurus hit a homerun with the G-series. You can buy any one of the G-series pistols and have a solid reliable gun for decades to come.

My g2c is my EDC. I ended up replacing all the plastic interior pieces with stainless steel pieces, and replaced the barrel with the one from Lakeline so now I’m able to feed and shoot hollows with ease. I also upgraded the trigger, i wasn’t fond of the stock one.

⁠​⁠​⁠@@RallyTactical g2c is also my EDC. I haven’t had issues feeding hollows so haven’t messed with replacing the barrel. Here’s run down on my setup $200 g2c on sale, $30 keep tinkering trigger, $20 lakeline stainless steel striker guide. Have put around 2k rounds through it without a hiccup. Recently held a 43x and felt very comfortable in hand so starting looking on KZbin if it’s worth it and thank you for this video because it looks like I’ll stick to the g2c for now

The Taurus feels natural to me. Every glock I've picked up felt unnatural. So I will buy Taurus and not glock.

Had my G2C for almost 2 years now, love it never had an issue, bought a G2S aswell for the wife, then I switched to hellcat and i love that even more tbh but the G2C is a great gun for the money, mine was only 225 out the door, the hellcat pro and the G3C are next on my list

Idk about the glock being better with QC I've seen alot of forms of people complaining more over the last 5 years about bad QC issues like Glock extractors wobble or chatter Or like looking up Frequently Experienced Glock Problems failure to feed failure to eject slide lock issues, magazine base plate issues loose slide plates failure to fire slide not locking back double feeds slide not returning to the battery stovepipes light primer strikes

The G2C has been my everyday care (IWB Appendix) for over three years and I have no plans to switch it out… but I do salivate over the Taurus Raging Judge Magnum.

Although I currently carry a Smith and Wesson currently I did start off with a Taurus G3C, G2C, and I had a GX4. The Taurus G3C and G2C where amazing. I was not impressed with the GX4 hence why I have a smith and Wesson. My wife still has the G2C and she love it

How many recalls in the past has the Taurus have compared to the Glock? Are Glock pistols a waste of money? No, they might be simple but they generally work. Simplicity is often best, less chances of things going wrong. I own Taurus revolvers, will not buy their pistols. My prefer pistol for EDC? CZ P-07.

I have had the g2s and the g2c for 5 years. The only problem I’ve had is that after several hundred rounds, the slide lock quit working on both of them. Other than that, no malfunctioning at all.

I love my Glock 17 and my shield 40. However this G2c fits right in between and feels cheaper but shoots just as well. If something ever happened to it I wouldnt be hurt in any way. They still make the G2c brand new even though newer models are available g3c and gx4. It's because the G2c is beyond solid. Lifetime warranty and very very very affordable. It was absolutely worth the $300 all in gamble for the G2c. The re strike is nice for training

I have both of these. I've had a couple failures to cycle with my Taurus but only in the first couple mags. Overall I prefer the Taurus. It also prints a little less when carrying, at least for me. Feels great in the hand. I love my Glock with the S15 mags

I own both of these guns. You guys are completely spot on with your review. The only two things I would a add is the 43x comes in a MOS or you can get it cut for a red dot. The other is the after Market support for the glock is amazing. But all in all a good review.

We’re in the age of affordable pistols of really high quality. Even really good offerings like the CZ P-10 or beretta APX which used to cost around the same as Glock are significantly cheaper now

I have the GX4 T.O.R.O and The 43X MOS. I carry the Hellcat Pro or the GX4 on my person everyday, but the 43X MOS is always along with me. I haven't run into any real issues with any of them. However, I think that Glock's reputation gives one more peace of mind right out of the box.

Once you replace certain stock G2 c parts it's a pretty decent gun but by that point it's going to cost as much as a Glock 19 depending on the state you live in

Good video. KZbin actually suggested your channel. Imagine a world where KZbin suggests a gun channel. Anyways i called the g2c for 2 years after carrying the pt-111 for a year. I have since switched to the g3c and got it cut for an optic. I have now carried the g3c for 2 years. Taurus even sells 15 and 17 round mags for both the g2c and g3c. I actually argued with some moron that tried to tell me the gc series of pistols were more Glock 19 sized and not g43x sized. Friggin idiots that run their mouths without ever even holding the Taurus. Before the pt-111 i carried a G43 and my son had the pt-111 and when we were at the range i tried his and i was so much more accurate with it over the short gripped g43. So i traded an echo weedwhacker for his and sold the G43. I do carry a G17mos with an rmr in the winter though I'm about to sell an AR-15 and buying the Walther PDP 4 inch with 18rd mag here in the next few days since i found one for $499. Great video. Between those two firearms, I would save up to get the Glock. I personally carry an M&P shield. 2.0. and I alternated with a Springfield Hellcat.

I agree with you, I never sell my guns, and some I have had for 40 years. I think the stored value is a feel-good thing. Most plastic strikers don't hold much value. Look at a great gun like the CZ P10C, just a few years ago they were $550, now $300 new. You never see that with Glocks. @@RallyTactical

The glock 43x just feels perfect. The newer gen 5 Glocks with a smooth grip just makes it feel right, not like the previous gens with finger stipplings on the grip. Glock got it right with gen 5s. But I still like the g2c, I keep one permanently in the car while the 43x is holstered on me.

I have both. The glock is lighter and more comfortable to carry! The G3c is a great firearm as well too. The 43x is what I normally carry now with a 15 round mag. Used to carry the Taurus everyday. I prefer the Glock so far.

I’ve had my tourist for conceal and open carry for several years now and it looks still brand stinking new and I take it fishing hunting, hiking camping shopping family events everything just take good care of your gun even my buddy owns one and his is just a truck gun and it looks brain stinking new still😂 you don’t have to spend a ungodly amount for a gun or just the name and besides a gun is a gun do what you have to do

i have the Glock and the Taurus and the Taurus gets a lot more carry time. It just "feels" better and more natural, which would pay off under duress when you can't spare any brain cells making adjustments for a weapon that doesn't feel natural. I dig the disclaimer at the end, so I won't give you crap about taking longer to reload than the high speed operator dudes take to eat an MRE.

I have both the 43x and the G3c. I carry the Glock as my EDC because it feels better concealed as it's a little thinner. And I have the Shield mags which hold 15 rounds.

Oil your G2c before you shoot it or it will jam but it shoots pretty nice after that. Very decent gun but really great for the money.

@@kbthagoat71 I’ve shot 5 magazines through it. 50 rounds of blazer and 10 rounds of federal. With the blazer I got 4 to 5 hang ups per magazine. The federal do far has done a bit better. Only shot one magazine and I had 2 failures 🤦‍♂️. Think I’m taking it to the pawnshop and trading it for a Glock!

I agree with Taurus only if you use the “Keep Tinkering”trigger and use Lakeline internals upgrade then yeah it’s fun and reliable. Without it. Glock all day. Not a glock fan boy either.

I carry a Sig Sauer p365 for EDC but I just got a brand new Taurus G3c for $215 (only 2 mags included tho). After 200 rounds, I feel like I robbed the seller. lol This pistol is amazing and runs hollow-points, rounds, and flat-nose like a hungry beast. It is a Glock 43x for half the price. YOU HAVE TO CLEAN AND OIL THE PISTOL BEFORE 1ST SHOTS!

That's the mag release on the Glock 43X not a trigger safety. The Glock 43X doesn't have a physical safety you can switch to safe or fire. A semi auto pistol is semi auto which means as fast as you can pull the trigger, it shoots. The revolvers are SA/DA. Does this guy know what he's talking about?? I think actually I'm 99 percent sure this guy is really new at firearms. I've been around guns my whole life. I've never once made a gun review because I don't know everything there is to know about guns. Just because you own a few guns and shot some targets doesn't mean you're a gun expert. I know a few people, one which works at a gun shop for the past 35 years and he knows quite a bit about firearms but never once has he ever made a gun review video or claimed he knows more or everything there is to know about firearms. Nobody can or will know everything about every firearms. Only thing I recommend is if you're going to do a review on a certain firearm is to make sure you actually know what you're talking about. This guy that made this video should've known that Glocks don't have a safety that you can actually put it in safe or fire mode. Yes, Glocks do have internal safeties. They have a drop safety, firing pin safety and a trigger safety.

easy for me to answer , my 43x had ejection issues and had to be sent back to glock twice. my g2c has never failed and there is about 4500 rounds through it. I carry the g2c.

I own both and to be honest the trigger is better on the Glock to me and with. the psa 15 rd mags makes its worth it sold taurus to son kept the 43x two tone it’s not made anymore the factory two tone . I do own some Taurus revolvers . But I guess coming from shooting revolvers and owning one before I even got pistols has to do with it I also own Springfield’s and they feel fine to me too.

Your getting a better quality pistol with a Glock. Better parts better finishing and less recoil. Better control with a Glock. A Taurus sucks after your 20 yards out. Try passing a security guard test with it you'll see what I mean.

Ive had my G2c for about 3 years and only recently got aGlock 26gen5. Without a doubt after taking both guns to the range the Glock will be my everyday carry. The Taurus seems to stovepipe when a full clip is inserted. The Glock was flawless

Also my edc the Taurus wins all day imo the grip texture, ergonomics, finger extension floor plate, restrike capability, manual safety, and most of all the price make it an easy choice can’t have a Glock with a 5.5lb trigger pull and no safety laying around or carried iwb either cause everyone I’ve ever known to accidentally shoot themselves had a Glock😅 and Taurus is also my zodiac sign so that’s a plus too👌😂
