First off I bought one expecting it not to work, just because it was cheap and I had money to waist, and I took it straight out of the box and loaded it up. I ran 1200 rounds through it in two days with out a single issue. Now it's my truck gun that I practice with all the time. I've probably got 6500-7000 rounds through it with not a single issue. Second, I never trust people's opinion on accuracy. More times than not accuracy issues are operator error.

Any KZbinr who has the trigger click and seem to be dead, but they don't wait a minute pointed downrange, to check for bad primer. And remove the round before pulling the trigger again, shouldn't be trusted for anything. Because if an idiot can't do forensics on a gun in their hand to discern problems, they aren't qualified to disperse an opinion. This gun has second strike capability and he could have had a bad primer. Unfortunately, I think this youtuber is dumb. We don't get an accurate picture of the fun because he is stupid. If it's a bad striker or trigger, show me, and you earn my trust. If you click a trigger and it doesn't bang, and don't check the primer, you lower my. Faith. This guy lost it. Stupid.

I have owned one for two years now. Many times while still the range, I was shooting with a few others that ran with the m&p shield and a Glock. All 9mm. I have to say that I have yet to experience any problems with this weapon with no upgrades whatsoever. My buddies, well, they have had many jamming and fail to fire episodes and now carry the millennium g2. Their other guns? Collect dust and are paperweights.

When you had the 3 trigger pull problem, the slide wasn't fully closed. You can see it slightly hanging past the frame, the first two clicks probably got it to lock up. The pt111 is not my favorite, but mines been very reliable.

Lets face it there are two types of PT111 G2 owners in the world, ones who have problems and ones who have not. I am one of the later. I own two of them, one EDC and one in car. One has LLC upgrade, one does not. Each have 2000 rnds +. Each have zero malfunctions.

I finally broke down and bought one of the G2's after having the original way back in like 2005. The original one was garbage, it didn't like to function well. The new one I just got for $179 shipped arrived and has so far functioned well. I've only put about 100 rounds through it so far. I also used a Sig P226 20 round mag with it and it cycled everything with that mag as well. I might have gotten lucky on this one.

On July 4, 2018 I was in Cabela’s with my son and he held the pistol for the first time. After a lot of research and waiting I am buying him one for his birthday as his first center fire pistol. The salesman neglected to tell me that while we were looking at them.

I've had 2 Millennium G2's both 9mm. One a few years old and now a new fde one. I clean my guns regularly and zlook them over very closely quite often. All I can say is both of mine have been 100% reliable with not a single malfunction. I've fired junk to top dollar defense loads. I keep waiting for one to have an issue. I'd say around 1,200 rounds or so fired between them. All factory parts.

I bought mine last fall. The sights didn't seem to hold a zero and the stock spring caused the gun to jam. But after replacing both of those things, it has been a reliable gun for several hundred rounds. I've been carrying it through the summer. My winter gun is a Glock 17.

Thanks for the honest comments. I have a 709 slim and also like the feel of it and have never had a spot of trouble but I wanted badly to get the doublestack version. My main problem with the slim is the trigger pull which is just as you said. It is only around 5.5 lbs but it feels like you are pushing it into the frame before it breaks. Nobody wants to trust the buyer with a decent single action trigger except Colt and its' clones. I think I'll have to let the PT 111 pass.

This is the only pistol I currently own. The first few times I took it out it ran great. The last two times, not so great. I'm still fairly new to shooting pistols so I'm hesitant to blame the gun and not either the ammo I used or my skill level. That being said, at this point in time, I'm not 100% convinced I could trust my PT111. I need more range time with it for sure. The last time out I had a case get stuck in the chamber. I was using Tulammo which ran just fine before. I originally wanted to buy the Smith & Wesson SD9VE but I had a very limited budget of $300 and when I got to the gun shop the SD9 was no longer on sale and out of my price range so I went with my second choice which was the Taurus. I picked it up for $199. I don't dislike the Taurus but if I could go back in time I would wait for the SD9VE to go back on sale which it did a month later...doh!!

I want to add that I have had my PT111 G2 for almost a year. I have run all kinds of ammo through including reman and I have not had any issues with the gun. Now is it as accurate as my HK VP9? Well, no but a lot of that is the shorter barrel. Guns are like cars - looks like you have a lemon. Mine has been completely reliable and I love how compact it is for concealed carry.

Too bad you are having issues. You seem to be in the minority from my research on you tube and numerous blogs. Sounds like you need to return your lemon to Taurus for repair. I have had several Taurus revolvers and semi-autos, including the fen 1 version of this. I have had my PR111 G2 since they were first available and paid substantially more for it than what they can be had for now. I have fired 1,500 rounds through it using the original spring/guide rod assembly and recently switched to the Lakeline spring/guide rod (original one still works fine). I have had 0 issues from day one, it shoots any 9mm I load in it including my reloaded ammo and HP bullets in 115 and 124 grain.

Why is it the lady in the video seemed to have fired a myriad of various 9mm bullets in different weight including FMJ and HP and didn’t appear to have any failures at all. Why did u wait 2 Years between firing it? If u are not happy send it back, it has a lifetime warranty. Im sure they can fix it (whatever is supposedly wrong with it).

We demonstrate how the gun cycles with a variety of loads. That's part of all of our recent reviews. What you are seeing is part 4 of our experience with this gun. Prolly a magazine issue this time around,if you get their newer model the G2c Taurus pretty much repaired the problems with the pt111,I have two of them with 1800 rds between the two with no malfunctions yet..most feeding issues are caused by bad magazines or line you pointed out the oem guide rod that has bad springs and sometimes a bad extractor can also cause feeding issues and of course FTE.

Great video presentation and I'm glad you did a revisit review, but like someone else said its a 50/50 shot for working model. For the 12+1 I would rather trust a CZ82 for the same size, but better reliability with a good defensive 9x18 Mak rounds.

@josephkearney11686 жыл бұрын
the break on the trigger is very crisp and I know exactly where it is. Also the reset is so much quicker then the Sig Sauer or Shields. I think the reviewers are forgetting what this gun is for. Its a defensive weapon. Its meant to put bullets on target from a defensive posture. knowing that the most important thing is knowing where the break is, quickest reset you can get, and accuracy enough to stop target. The Taurus is that in spades. I have had mine and like most commenting here it has been a very reliable defensive weapon. The perfect combination of concealability and compacity(12+1). The only issue I had with mine was the loose magazine which I solved with one strip of duck tape on each magazine which tightened it right up.

It is odd how only Graham has problems shooting it. I'm wondering if his right thumb is causing the safety or perhaps the the slide lock to drag on the slide. The original guide rod and spring were faulty it appears but every company has had problems at some point. We revisit guns we've reviewed in the past because our format has changed and sometimes our opinions change. We don't care if it's new or not. For that kind of stuff check out Tabloid Firearm Blog.

Graham Baates I'm glad you tested again I just wish it was with a sample size of 2 since your particular example has been problematic.

Plus he said that a company has helped with a sprint other then Taurus... so it’s not even a stock pistol 100% from factory. It (from what I herd) has an aftermarket spring

Great firearm.. Except the trigger.. Maybe you all aren't really expert. It's great for home defense by many

Seems to work fine in Erika's skinny hands, and fail in Graham's big meaty claws?

I get an impression that this is some kind of attempt to sabotage the good record of this handgun. Come on dude you pay less than half of the price of similar guns and expect QC and CC of the Glock or Sig?

Stop belly aching and send it to Taurus for warranty repair!!!!! Hell it not like the gun company is out of business!! If you think the gun is so unreliable and you are afraid to sell it then I'll give you a 100 bucks for it as is. Don't worry my carry gun is 5 inch competition ready PPQ M2 so I would not rely on it to save my life it would be just another range gun along with my Glock 26,19,and 34

This is an old video and part 3 of the saga. Taurus has changed both their warranty policies and quality control since then.

You can only expect so much from a gun made from sugar cane. LOL!!!! I joke. It seems that Taurus can be hit or miss with their semi-autos.

Doesn't matter what pistol that lady picks up- her grip will be incorrect! At least once you would think after all these guns and videos that someone would correct her grip. C - shooter at best with incorrect grip!

I bought this and admit I got nervous while shooting my first mag with two FTF .i continued to finish my 100 rounds without further issues.ive since put another 300 through it including critical defense hp and I can shoot it very effectively for those who cry they can’t hit anything make me laugh. A good shooter can learn to shoot anything it’s just a matter of if you want to take the time to do it. So quit crying and go by a 1000 gun and leave the challenge to real shooters.

SAPPER FOREVER I congratulate you for your response. Was expecting a different answer. Accept my apologies. Yes I have one. My 45 cal 1911 was becoming too heavy for my old hands. Rifle sports shooter. Have a few (ar15, Sig 556R, 22 cal, 12 gauge Mossberg) the pistol for home defense. Have a nice day. Again my APOLOGIES.
