Thanks for the video, the bushings are scarce right now, but I did find them for 3 bucks apiece from olhasso. He has the blued screws in hex or slotted. I also found the screws from Brownell's in stainless for 2.49 each. The screws are Beretta, not Hogue. Hope this helps. Have a good one and thanks again for the video, saved me a lot of pain, frustration and hassle.

Thanks for the video. I wanted the hogue wrap arounds, but they don't make them. I'm going to get the Pachmyer now

Thank You! Great video. I was deciding wether to buy this grip. If my Taurus has the bushings I will.

Nicely it is your initiative to show your experience with the installation of these pachmayr grips. But let me explain a bit of my experience with the installation of these screw bushings: 1. These bushings should be secured with some type of chemical locking of the LOCTITE type 243, to prevent them from coming out with the screws when they are deprived for the removal of the jaws; 2. The bolts should be lubricated with a thin layer, applied with a cloth moistened with oil, to decrease the friction between the screw thread and the busshing thread and make it less than the friction of the bushing attachment with the aluminum frame. I am Brazilian, I have a PT 92 and I hope I have helped a little ... I'm sorry for my poor english.

Thanks for the help. This is good advice.

I've added the links to the description. Those are the exact ones that I have. The screws seem to be made from a high quality stainless.

I never knew that you could tell the quality of stainless hardware by how it fits on an allen wrench ?
@WORCrip12 жыл бұрын
that is awesome thank you very much. nice vid btw

Thinking of adding these grips or ones made by Hogue?? However, I really like the "old school" wood & steel look of my stock PT-99 AF.
@Dietrich8048 жыл бұрын
Yes, these are the Hogue grips. They proved to be too large for my hands. My hands are average size. The Taurus just has large grips anyway.

I just ordered these grips for my pt92. Is it nessessary to have these extra screws and brushings? Thanks
@totalnewb1234 жыл бұрын
The screws no but the bushings for the three other screws yes or they won’t fit because the bushings give the screws the length to screw them down. Also I’d invest in some blue loctite 242 for the bushings or else they will loosen off from the frame.
@totalnewb1234 жыл бұрын
I take that back. Once you use the beretta bushings you must use beretta screws. Sorry even though you posted this 7 years ago from today.
@WORCrip12 жыл бұрын
can you tell us where you ordered the bushings and screws from? most screws i found have bad reviews saying the metal is too soft and they strip out easily or break off. last thing i want is a broken screw in my 92 afs... thanks in advance

Is there a gap between the grip and the frame since you didn't put on the back strap?
@Dietrich8046 жыл бұрын
I've since stopped using these but I believe that there was a small gap. It wasn't noticeable.
@slkric17246 жыл бұрын
Dietrich804 why did you stop using them? Did the grip cause a problem with the gun?
@Dietrich8046 жыл бұрын
No, it didn't cause a problem. I just didn't like them. The pistol has a large grip and these grips made it even larger. Even without the back strap.
@slkric17246 жыл бұрын
Dietrich804. Oh Ok.. that's the same problem I'm having I thought those grips with the finger grooves you did in the video would make it a little bit more comfortable so I just ordered the the grips you had in the video. Lol. I might run into the same problem. Did you ever find some good slim grips for your Taurus pt92?
@Dietrich8046 жыл бұрын
No, I switched back to the factory grips for now. I'd like to get some black wood grips for it but it hasn't been a priority. Overall I decided that I don't like the action on this pistol and bought a Glock. lol So I take the Taurus out plinking some times but it's not a priority anymore.

Nicely presented and well-done video presentation. Can you please provide me with information concerning what type of framing bushings and screws you are using along with where I can purchasing them. What model number finger grips are you using? Thanks.
@TS-sc9lq10 жыл бұрын
Looks easy! I ordered the grip and learned the hard way that the original screws dont work,so i ordered bushings and screws from Taurus...the bushings dont fit the gun and the screws dont fit the bushings. Having hard time finding the right screws/bushings.

I used the beretta bushings for mine. It works 💪
@johnsimpson2337 жыл бұрын
Is this pachmayr grip for the Beretta 92?
@Dietrich8047 жыл бұрын
No, these have a notch on the left side of the grip for the frame safety that is only on the Taurus 92. The Beretta grips do not have the notch since the safety is on the slide.
