I got one of these years ago made by T Maszewski in the USA. It is quite robust and helps to keep the 3rd member hypoid oil cooler too.

I have replaced the entire suspension front and rear on my 01 MGM GS put new Lincoln tires on and still have a slight vibration. No noise just vibration so next I’m replacing the U-Joint maybe that’s my problem. After replacing everything it helped but didn’t fix it .

12 mm left it in park to break them loose and neutral to spin the shaft for easier bolt access

The shaft has to be held by the trans or the brakes. Then use a breaker bar or impact gun. Make sure the vehicle is blocked from rolling.

Brakes dont stop the driveshaft from spinning you dummy.

On my vic the drive shaft is way too big for that kind of clearance to the bolts. You can fit the socket on the bolt but no way in hell are you going to stick anything into that socket. Blocked right off by the shaft, you'll need some 12 point crowfoot wrench set adapters or something. Dunno what's up with your setup. Must be a difference between civilian and police interceptor driveshafts.

I have a 08 crown Victoria p71 and I’m installing that same console but with the original shifter. So my question is Do I you use the same transmission cable shifter or replace with a mercury marauder transmission cable? Or what kit is there to install?

Try PB blaster, spray the the bolts and area. Let dry for atleast 10 min. I do it a day before, easier results. But..dry bolts, no slippage. Goodluck

I was thinking the same thing. But for drag racing it’s better because you can’t miss a shift whereas with a manual you can miss a shift and your bank account balance will take a bit of a hit along with your time to replace it.

If you look at a sharpened blade under a microscope before you do this. You will see burs and misaligned steel. After this process not so much. There are stones used to polish a Katana. But they are expensive. And if you don't know what your doing can damage your blade. This method anybody could do. I use it on my carry knives. I also have a old weightlifting leather belt that I use as a strop before the polish. When I am done you can shave with it. Nice video don't know how it got buried.

You just have to make sure they make an adapter to run whatever trans is in that year. If 4r70w or a newer variant of that trans then it will work just like in this car. I think the shifter can run 5r55 trans too.

As long as the car is flat it won't leak. Most of the fluid is in the pan itself.

That's the solution. Beautiful. As you noted, make the funnel a little shorter so that your grab fingers don't have to reach so high and can assist in keeping the funnel pulled tight against the paint can rim.

Thank you for this video. I jumped the gun and ordered a new clutch assembly and installed it, and still had the grinding noise. Found this video and cleaned out the bearings on the roller, and the noise is GONE. I also sprayed the bearings with an electrical contact cleaner that also has a small amount of lubricant. Noise is gone. Again, thank you!

Great design! The only issue that i have is the use of card board. I can see cardboard debris get in the paint. Not an issue for a lot of folks but I have customers that will spot that one debris and throw a hissy fit!

Does it have 3.73 or 2.73 gears? I've got the exact same car, same year even color lmao. Really wanted to swap the center console and shifter out of a crown vic sport but this video has me re thinking lmao
