Just subscribed. You defined double and single action correctly. Almost everyone, including some of the big stars of KZbin, get that wrong.

It's a 'double-action' because not only does pulling the trigger with it in the uncocked position bring the hammer back so it can then drop on the cartridge primer; it ALSO rotates the cylinder so there is a cartridge under the trigger/transfer bar.

You said it has no safties. Doesn't it have a transfer bar saftey?

I own this gun and definitely need new handle grips. Would I order them based on the newer 856? Would they fit correctly? I also currently have an ankle holster but would like to get something geared more towards women that can be worn on my upper body and that would conceal and be a quicker draw. The idea of a belt holster is great but they were made based on a man's straight body. I'm 5'7, 135lbs with hips and belt holsters don't account for hips. Similarly, ankle holsters don't account for the kind of pants available to women. I've tried wide pants, bell bottoms, pants that go over boots, they all look like there's a big lump on my ankle that doesn't belong and doesn't move. It's quite humorous really! Neither of these work to conceal a gun well so I might as well open carry. Anywhere you could point me, especially for the grips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

Hello, I agree that ankle holsters are problematic with not just women, I have a hard time with them myself. As far as holsters, it is a challenge to find one that will work. Even though I am a guy, I am on the short side and that creates challenges sometimes. The reality with any concealed carry is that it generally will cause some level of discomfort, you have to find the right compromise between comfort when walking, standing, sitting etc. I ended up gravitating to untucked shirts and essentially open carry covered by my shirt for most occasions. But I am a guy and not what you would call stylish, so I can get away with it.... Regarding the grips, ones made for the current 856 should work on the 85 Ultralite as well.

since I don't know anything about weapons, can you tell me what the range of this pistol is, how far it is accurate ..
@CraigsGunChannel4 жыл бұрын
Thats a good question and is actually difficult to answer as the ability of the shooter is the main component. A really good shooter may be able to hit their target with this gun at 150 yards, however that would not really be a fair response. I would say in general terms 50 yards or less would be the maximum effective range. A 50 yard shot would still take some skill and proficiency.

I never liked air weight pistols, they always stung my hand and knuckles. I have the Taurus 605 in 357 that 24 ounces unlike 15 ounces of aluminum frame model. Stainless steel & steel have more weight to absorb recoil.
