I saw this comment and thought you were being an asshole. Then I watched the video. I now agree with you 😂

I hope they release a 3" TORO model for the 905 and 380 revolvers.

Looks really interesting. Was waiting for the promised 3” 327 Taurus for a while too bad it is DAO. Would prefer double/single like the 2”. Haven’t seen a review on the trigger pull. Also is this an internal hammer or just a bobbed hammer so it can’t be cocked?
@woodroez11 ай бұрын
Bobbed hammer. They don't make any frames that properly conceal the hammer, which is frustrating to me. More snag-free on the draw but their other, shorter barrelled revolvers that might get fired from a jacket pocket could still clothing or something in the pocket interact with the hammer while firing and cause a complication. That's less of a concern with this particular model, though. Still a curious choice to bob this one and not the snubby 327s

They are making a version with a fully intact hammer

Caleb may think all “people shooting “ guns should be DAO and that may have some merit but why then does the snubnose 327 have a conventional hammer? The DAO makes sense for the snubnose/2” 327 considering the close range it would normally be used. I just purchased the 3” TORO and it would be a lot more versatile if it had a spurred hammer and single action / DA .
@AW123339 ай бұрын
When you begin the trigger pull can you catch the bobbed hammer and pull it back to have it cock for single action or is the single action disabled?
@AFRevolver3574 ай бұрын
It’s disabled.

I gave Caleb the Real Organic Gel numbers on .327 HST it will rock from 3" and at 104 gr be easier to bill Drill than hot 125 magnums (I might have just gotten a 2-tone cerakoted 3" 6-shot 357 that looks Real nice) which I should be able to Dark Pin run at 7yards from concealment. With work maybe I could light pin with .32 Mag Federal 85/95 or 100 gr wadcutters as a goal. Would like it stainless, or black/Tungsten cerekoted. If you guys are coming right next to me in E. TN soon l Please invite me and I can bring some stuff if they let me.

Hammer and trigger return springs are so heavy as to make this gun unusable. However, if you can replace them yourself, this can be turned into a nice little revolver. After that, your only problem is Taurus quality. Will it last or will it fail when you need it??!!
@AFRevolver3574 ай бұрын
This gun had the best out of the box trigger I’ve ever had. I assure you that nowadays Taurus revolver quality is as good or better than the other revolver company in Massachusetts.

@@AFRevolver357 You are either joking, know nothing about revolvers, or are a ringer working for Taurus. I was talking about a new Toro 327, so what do you mean, "nowadays"?! Taurus can be made usable, but they do not arrive in that condition.
@AFRevolver3574 ай бұрын
@@davidkachel actually I’m an NRA distinguished revolver shooter. I’m not joking and aside from touring the Taurus plant and doing several product consulting gigs with all the major manufacturers of revolvers I guess I don’t know too much. It took me a while to get over the Taurus phobia but I’ve had nothing but great success with them the last 3 years. Can’t say the same about a couple others but AFR was formed to educate people and manufacturers about revolvers. So anyway hopefully you found this informative and if you subscribed to the website you’ll get way more than $5 a month worth of education on wheelguns.

@@AFRevolver357 I never so much as heard of "NRA distinguished revolver shooter". (In fairness, I despise the NRA for their past betrayals of the American people and the Constitution and therefore pay no attention to them at all, except for their latest crimes!) But, that aside and assuming you compete on a legitimate level, then Taurus is probably handing you guns they have tuned to within an inch of their lives. If you want to know what Taurus is REALLY shipping, go to a gun store where they don't know you and buy a plain Jane Taurus off the shelf! You're in for a surprise! My recently bought shiny new 327 TORO arrived fresh from the factory, USELESS! I bought it solely because that is the configuration I wanted and only Taurus was making it. I bought it knowing from experience that it would arrive in useless condition and that I would have to work on it to get it into shape. I was not "disappointed"! Over the last 20+ years I have bought the occasional Taurus (totaling about seven by now) when no one else would make what I wanted, but always got rid of it after getting to a point where I realized I could never trust it, even if I did have it working well for the moment. The situation with the current Taurus is nearing that very same point. The only difference this time is the fact that I really want this particular gun to work and am therefore more willing to invest time and money, beating it into submission. However, at some point Taurus decided to replace the S&W based trigger return mechanism with an incredibly stupid and clearly unreliable, and presumably money-saving alternative, that I fully expect to break sooner or later. If you are competing with Taurus revolvers (I never so much as HEARD of anyone doing that!) and Taurus is not providing you with tuned or otherwise altered guns, then you have to be doing it yourself. They simply DO NOT arrive in usable condition, unless by accident!
