Love it! I’ve been a fan of you guys since the Moana movie. We, the people from Madagascar, have certain commonalities with your people and culture i.e. music, language, your concept of God, life, death and more. The concept and meaning of this song sound almost close to a Malagasy song “Lemena” by Ifanihy . It’s unfortunately a sad one as it talks about a fisherman called Lemena who goes fishing alone with his canoe to provide for his village everyday. Then, one day he never came back, everybody at the village as usual is excitingly expecting him to come back, didn’t know he was gone, taken by the waves sadly.
I feel the sand and the ocean of the pacific thank you

My all-time favourite song by Te Vaka. Seki to see you recreate it like this! Alofaaga mai Siāmani, always makes me feel a little less homesick when I put these songs on ❤

Lovely rendition. One of my favorites. Thanks for sharing. Your music goes back twenty years for me, when we spent time traveling through the South Pacific.
