Tautog Fishing - Outer Wall (Lewes, DE)

Tautog Fishing was on the agenda this weekend. Capt. Frank who invited me to go Flounder Fishing a few episodes back called me out of the blue last week to see if I wanted to try Tautog Fishing out of Lewes, DE over the weekend.
I accepted the invitation graciously. I was excited to film this Tautog Fishing episode because I had only caught one tiny tautog in my whole life and that was back in 2013. Sit back and check out how we did....it was fun fishing with the Captain and Deckhand Joe for a new species....ENJOY !!!

Tog is a very tasty fish !!! I agree. Never caught a monster Tog. But they are frustrating and fun to catch!!

I corrected the audio issue. For some reason the lav mic I was using would only be heard in one ear/speaker and not the other when I was editing. The program I use now allows me to get sound in stereo and be able hear on both side of earphones/speakers. Always room for improvement.

They still biting last I heard on the 50 wall but you really gotta go out to the shipwrecks I got a bunch of green crabs in my garage need to throw them in the freezer but you need to make more videos like this !

I want to make more videos like this. I really like getting away from the bass fishing. Trouble is trying to find someone who will allow me on the\ir vessel. My goal is as well to fish on the Katydid. He gets people on to the monsters. Just need the right people to put me on to the bay and ocean fish!! Thanks for watching !!

@@302FISHING I can put you on some tog from the land if you want, I live in ocean pines and my parents live in bridgeville. I caught a 4lb bass on thanksgiving (last bass I caught before the bite went) that was out a golf course pond I fished at night lol. But I’ve caught some baby black bass and tog the last few week, and caught a keeper rock Thursday on a bucktail I’m a real estate agent in Maryland and Delaware so I make my own schedule and have a ton of free time. Hope to buy a boat next year but I have a few kayaks , only one is a fishing but they all float 😂

I've only caught a couple tog in my life...that was my PB. I know it's barely over legal size..I hv a friend taking me out this weekend..maybe I might catch a Togzilla this time around!! Lol!!

@@302FISHING 10 feet or so is good as long as it's low tide and you can see the rock .. lift the motor up to make sure it does't hit anything ...

Most people cut the rope and just buy a new one..if you look carefully you can see some cut lines hanging from rocks...too dangerous to get close to rocks
