You have to tighten the controlarms when the car is in driving height. If you dont, the bearing of the arms is under constant stress, which causes faster wear.

Yeah, that seemed like the biggest waste of time. And yes, they do come from the factory with all red wires, damned BMW. The plastic welded connector for the boost hose sounded really hack to me too, no guarantee that'll last through heat cycling, boost pressure, and oil exposure.

luisionfusion it’s funny you say that since the Supra is being made in Austria and the whole vehicle itself it mostly bmw including the detuned B58 engine that’s in it making 330hp whole the z4 G29 version makes 382hp, let’s not forget Toyota’s original 2jzgte which made 320 20 years ago. Not knocking off bmws engines but a true Supra would have a boosted 2GR instead of the B58 or the V35A-FTS that is in use now with the LS 500 from Lexus which makes 416hp. So yea it kinda is a rebadged z4. I don’t remember Nissan grouping up with Mercedes Benz for their GTR

The chassis is bend because of the crash, and it also toke the steering off center, it probably needed a jig work to pull the chassis back in alignment. edit: to correct what phone autocorrect incorrectly corrected.

In case you’re wondering, sDrive means the car is RWD (X1 and X2 would be FWD if it has sDrive badge). xDrive means all wheel drive. Your Z4 is a RWD model.

insane guys, you did it so good so quick. I wouldn't set the professional BC coilovers to the stiffest, as these cars and sport BMWs, or Roadsters are kind of rough and very stiff on stock suspension for bad roads, so for public road driving, I would put some comfort without too much body roll, still will have it handle pretty great in the corners.

Friendly reminded to all of you guys that the N20 engine in this car is based on the N54, just with two cylinders less, making from factory 245hp and with a little chiptunning it can go up to 280. On the cons, and something you should check is that the timing chain has plastic guides that are prone to breaking on the 2013 batch of N20's.

I have rebuilt a couple fire damaged cars and not sure i would do it again. He should find a 355 with damaged front end buy it, strip off everything from windshield back and sell every extra part . You could end up spending $25,000 on fastener, clips, hoses, wiring harnesses, trim ect if you could even get it from Ferrari.
