Dude I recommend supporting the exhaust with torque dampers or at the very least rubber brushes between the bolts and brackets. You are supporting it to the chassis after all.

TAVARISH ONE THING. When you have guests on your show, let them introduce themselves! They just kinda stand there awkwardly while you point the camera at them and they never know what to do 1:30-2:00. Make it more of a conversation, it will be more comfortable for them and allow them to warm up to the camera. Well, that's just my opinion anyway. Nice video!

1) the discoloration in stainless weld is oxidation, not imperfection in metal 2) if you know what is going on, you can weld flanges onto piping without ever having one distort 3) now that you have ground off all the ceramic coating, have fun keeping the pipes free of oxidation 4) those boxed in sections will crack

Sorry for the late reply. Your oxygen sensor bungs are now facing the wrong direction. At 3:05 you can see the O2 sensor bungs face upward at a slight angle. This is correct, and designed to keep water from stagnating in, on, and around the sensor which will foul it quickly. You must have swapped sides, because at 12:22 you can see now they are facing downward at a slight angle. You should have either left the sides the same (seems the welding yeti knows what he's doing), or be prepared to cut and re-weld those bungs.

Rubber grommets on that last welded on bracket between the flat stock and the frame! And I'll echo a few people below...that'll be nice and rusty real quick. In my humble opinion, you should have boxed the whole length of that back structural brace all the way over the bolt holes and drilled them through again. This way you have a weak point at the end of the pieces you welded on. It would fail there and fold in and would likely not have a good transfer of energy into the car chasis.
@Finnspin_unicycles6 жыл бұрын
It's ridiculous either way. "This is nice and strong again" - Dude, it's now less than a quarter of the original thickness. I might be mistaken, but if my memory is right that means you loose over 98% of the original bending resistance.

Exhaust looks great and I'm glad you welded up the reinforcement bar I suggested on another video about adding some material to the back of it to reinforce, might be a good thing to do in future to get some more rigidity back in the chassis and also save a lot of damage in a fender bender as it will be less prone to snapping/bending

If You're doing it, You should box off the very bottoms with a couple of plates that have a couple of holes each drilled to access the bolts and that should make them much stronger.
