I love this. I live in an urban area that backs onto a park. I’ve been hearing our residents call for a few weeks and tonight, the beauty gave me a show after I played Tawny calls on my speaker. The flight across my garden and probably about a metre over my head was the most graceful thing I have ever seen 🦉 ❤️

Can you explain more about how we help as to boxes and environment .

Great question! To help Tawny Owls specifically you can go to your local owl charity and they should help you put up a box for them (but unless you have nice big trees or a bit of woodland near you it probably won't be used by a Tawny Owl). You then won't be able to check it yourself but someone with a license would come out and check it for you. I know lots of people don't like 'mess' but being a little bit untidy is great for Tawny Owls. They are becoming more and more urban so love to snack on insect and small mammals in our gardens. Leaving some longer grass and not using any slug pellets or rat poison is one of the best ways to help them :)

One of my biggest dreams is to work with animals, owls and dogs particularly Owls are just so so sweet (I know they can be dangerous as they are birds of prey) Ash looks so adorable

That’s great about the mate. We’ve got a tawny owl in our local box. I have also seen him poking his head out.

Very enjoyable. Thank you! I wish I could enjoy these in the US. Thank you as well for your message on conservation as wildlife conservation is very dear to me. :)

Just heard one in a small copse near us. They are planning to put hundreds of houses there. I worry we won't hear tawny owls in the future.

I like your videos. I have a small owl, endemic species of Java Island. He is very small and has plumicorn as well. He is very calm but eat very much.... I wonder if there are some method to tame wild javanese barn owl because i consider to have them.

Ive been hearing a Tawny owl since moving to my new house which backs onto a copse, its a long shot but there's lots of owl food hear due to the amounts of bird food dropped from feeders, ive put a Tawny owl box on an Ash tree with a camera in this June.....fingers crossed

recently i’ve been hearing a female tawny in the small garden My garden backs onto. Any chance i’d be able to see her do you think? or are they usually really tucked away in the trees?

Hello I really enjoy all of your videos. I have a question someone asked me ‘do you train a sparrow hawk like a hawk? Dragging Ground lures like with harris and goshawks or do you train a sparrow hawk like a falcon swinging the lure back on its self like u do with most falcons. Would really appreciate a response thanks and keep up the great videos 👍🏼

Joebo The Hobo hi tbh I’m not the best person to ask for this as we don’t hunt at all with our Sparrowhawk. Personally I would head to some of the Facebook groups such as falconry hub or join a local falconry group.
