I love Jill and I can’t imagine what her family would’ve done without her, she’s battled chronic illness but driving back and forth and taking care of the babies and mamas and families, amazing!

I raised by boys with the Tightwad book and Sidetracked home Executives. I also used the Make a Mix cookbook and figured out how to make my own mixes. I learned to freeze a single serving meal and cook ahead and freeze meals. My husband was building a business at the time. I didn't know at the time that we were living below the poverty level..I just made it work. Our lives have been blessed. We just bought a house in Idaho - our dream retirement home outside of Marsing.

You are so right about holding our babies and children. Although both of my kids were 9lb 10oz at birth with no issues, I still spend most of my time holding them and sacrifice doing other things. It is so important. ♥️♥️♥️ Love the series!

OMG! I’ve been waiting for this! I love to hear yours and Jill’s story. It’s so inspiring and it’s so great to listen to when you’re in the thick of it and literally no one else around you gets it. In New York (and probably elsewhere too) you have the people who are just plain rich and don’t care about saving money (which I think they should because they aren’t tithing - but that’s a personal choice, that I understand) or you have people who are just totally overextended and in total denial like the ostrich with their head buried in the sand. It’s hard when everyone around you has a new car, big house, new clothes and bags, and you’re in the minority. However, I do shop at the thrift store often and when people ask me where I get my clothes I am open and honest about it and have got some of my coworkers shopping there as well! Anyway, thanks for sharing the story. It is nice to be able to just listen to you guys. I think the beauty of this is that it’s like sitting and shooting the breeze with you guys, which so many people don’t do anymore. Also your stories have a total lack of pretense. You guys are so honest and real and I LOVE THAT!!!!!! Thanks for everything you both and your families do!!!!

Looking for ways to make money to make ends meet is really the key to survival. You are totally right. Growing up in Idaho was wonderful but we have family in Kansas too and it is a really long road trip. I have done a few of those trips too. I can't imagine having such a hard pregnancy. You have a wonderful mom Tawra. I enjoyed this food for thought very much. I'll have to find some more of these episodes. Thanks guys! I'm dry pack canning today. Provident living and being prepared for emergencies are really key to long term security :)Jen

You are both precious women, God bless you!❤ I have found not only a wealth of wisdom in the past several months that I have been listening to you, but immense comfort just living vicariously through the beautiful bond you both share...it reminds me of the loving bond my beautiful mother and I always shared until her passing. This episode really caught my heart, for the pure truth you share for the power of prayer and the power that comes through loving human touch. My precious grandson is pure proof of that, as my beloved mama and I prayed together everyday for months leading up to his birth...first it was a spontaneous prayer circle that formed late one night on my front lawn with my kind neighbors, as we prayed for God's protection over his and his mother's lives, nearly 20 weeks before he was born, after a physician just days before spoke the devastating message to my son and daughter-in-law that they had close to a week to decide whether to go through the entire pregnancy, as the baby had a life-threatening defect with only a 15-20 percent survival rate...I immediately prayed that hopeless message out of the room and I declared that God is in the slim percentages! Prayers are what bring us through the toughest times and draw us ever closer to Him! ❤ Prayers and our human touch heal most of all, I believe! My precious grandson was finally able to be held for the first time at 30 days old, and when it was finally my chance, I held that precious miracle in my arms for over 7 hours, til my bladder couldn't hold it anymore! 😅 and now we are preparing to celebrate 7 blessed years with this precious gift from God!!❤ You both, Michael, and your beautiful family are such a perfect example of what family is meant to be! ❤ keeping together and pushing through the toughest times and sharing your journey with so many others is our blessing!❤

May I say, you ladies are so blessed to have each other. I also am blessed with a great mom. When my aunt gave birth to her first child in the 60's, the delivery room had windows, the window washers were outside cleaning the windows while my aunt was pushing her baby out. They stopped cleaning and actually watched the whole thing. At that point, my aunt didn't care if a marching band was watching...LOL

What a story and you have an amazing mom and family to go thru all that. I had a tragedy in my family and as I look back and how I did it. One day at a time. I went with just an 8 year old to having an infant and a 4 year old grand kids that I had to take care of and prepare funeral and my daughter to come home after her long hospital stay and learn to walk again. It was a crazy time. Also during that time my husband at that time was cheating on me with a 24 yr old. Not one of my great years for sure but we all got thru it. I really think prayers and with God's help you do make it. Just one day at a time and not think of the whole picture as that can be overwhelming. You are such a close and strong family. Love how you get by with bills etc. That is what I do and try to help my kids do the same. These younger people have no clue of how to do it all and they gripe about it too. Thanks and I really enjoy your videos.

These are nice little flowery stories. But I subscribe to your channel just recently because I was looking for solutions. It's nice to have a little mother-daughter audience talk. But seriously most people subscribe to your channel because they need to ins and outs in what to do next. Everything that you've learned from your situation that's what I'm interested in And I know I'm just one person. To get back to my tithing so I do thank you for that. Anyway y'all take care now.
