Greetings Groww team. First of all thanks & congratulations for creating this video @ this moment. I hope this video ll be viral soon since it includes more answers for doubtful area from investors/ traders perspective. I made profit through swing trade(only in equities not F&O) from January to March 2023. My doubt is whether the profit comes under as 1)STCG(since each individual stock is taken as delivery & sold after certain days/weeks) or 2) non speculative income(since it is swing/positional trade). My annual income level is below 2.5 lakhs. July 31st is last date for ITR filing.What is the last date for paying tax ( if applicable)? Pls do reply ASAP. Ans.1) Non-speculative income. Since your total income is below 2.5 lakhs , your profit will not be taxable. Ans.2) Tax should be paid (if applicable) before fining ITR or at the time of filing ITR.
