Taxi ploughs into motorcyclist sitting stationary at a junction

A taxi turns right at a junction and ploughs straight into a motorcyclist who was stationary at the time. The crash caused potential life-changing injuries due to damage to the spinal cord.

Watching the video there is no reason they shouldn’t have seen the rider but if they had taken the junction probably we wouldn’t be having this conversation. But so many of us cut junctions,corners and roundabouts and the majority of the time we get away with it. I hope the rider has recovered but having MLS in his corner will have definitely helped. But having a accident where you get hurt and it’s no fault of yours definitely stays with you

The motorcyclist was not stationary ; however the camera car ( presumably the taxi ) cut across the corner and struck the motorcyclist , so entirely the fault of the driver . The rider certainly did nothing wrong and had no chance to avoid the collision . The camera car also appeared to be going quite quickly , although wide angle dash cam footage can be deceptive . I hope the motorcyclist recovered .
