Hello Taylah, I've not seen your channel before but I want to say how much I admire you for having found something you enjoy doing to make a living and sticking with it! Today, I also watched your clip about making your labels - so clever, thank you. I just love seeing so many young entreprenurial women creating niches for themselves that don't rely on being employed by someone else. Self employment is the future! It makes me wish (sometimes) that I was 30 or 40 years younger LOL to be part of this fabulous movement.

Can I ask what you do where there is really bad weather at a market? Do you choose not to attend and miss out on the sales, or brave it and risk having products blow around/displays blow over? It always concerns me!
@TaylahRose3 жыл бұрын
I pretty much always attend! I’ve attended ones in 60k winds before, I definitely peg down tho and anchor and helps when you’ve got trees or the winds not blowing straight into you. The wind is what I worry about more rather than the rain. My displays are pretty sturdy and I have weights I use for windy days so they don’t fall now and I will usually condense for a quick pack up meaning I’ll only have one table, limited stock and normally I’ll have my scrunchies in baskets so they don’t blow around and so I can quickly pick them up and throw them in the box if things go south! It really does depend on your products, gazebo quality and a heap of other factors tho!
@jessithorpe39513 жыл бұрын
@@TaylahRose thanks for the reply! That sounds similar to what I have been doing so I must be on the right track, just laying stock flat and pegging/water weights on the gazebo also. I have a commercial Oztrail gazebo but still get too nervous to put the sides up etc if there’s too much wind 😅

@TaylahRose3 жыл бұрын
Hey! No I don’t backstitch, I use 1mm stitching and it doesn’t seem to come undone! I’ve used this method for 2.5 years while making scrunchies ☺️

Do you add anything to the bows, or is it just the fabric bow? And do you only do one row of stitching to close the scrunchies? Don’t they unravel?
@LizzieDeanMakes3 жыл бұрын
There was a little clip of her wiggling barrette clips into the back of the bows when she was actually at the market so I figure that’s what she does 🤷🏼♀️
