To me this feels perfect in almost a response to the original. The girl in the song felt the same way, but we never knew it. Now looking back she’s expressing her feelings she had about the first date as well. Showing that the guy was not the only one who was nervous but wanting the girl to be the one, but the girl feels the same but can’t express it either.

Heard this cover off someone actually getting married on Instagram.. sounded so familiar yet so different.. Instantly screenshotted the story to get the song title, watched the rest of the story while listening on IG, then went to youtube right after and left on repeat for a while now.. Your voice is brilliant and changes the vibes completely, somehow makes a song about THE awkward first date feel even more nostalgic and missed.. ultimate punk goes pop but done right!
