Both are great but The koa sounded like an orchestra! OUTSTANDING TONE! The sustain was INSANE!

We know that smaller body guitars have a different "voicing." What's seldom mentioned though is that they break up sooner from an agressive pick attack. It took me a while to back off when I got my first 00 size axe! NiceWork, guys!

GT 811e sounds so good whereas the Koa is a bit thin, looks fantastic though I’d take the 811e

So misleading. Just because you're used to a sound doesn't make it better. Koa has pure, glassy piano tones. Spruce and Rosewood is great but even with your lesser playing on the K, it's greater brilliance is obvious.

That’s what I thought until I saw one in person. They are really hefty and the nicest “gig bag” I’ve ever seen. They are an extremely nice case.
