Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders - Louise (Live on Last Call with Carson Daly)

Taylor and his band make their television debut on Carson Daly's old NBC late night show, Apr. 12, 2006. Taped at the former NBC Burbank Studios. I was there for this. Yeah, some of the lyrics are a bit haunting at the moment.
We'll miss you, Taylor.

This is perfection. His drum tone was never better than this. He loved high pitched snares and didn’t use it in the Foo Fighters. Devastating loss.

Not quite true, look at footage from 1997 from Foo Fighters concerts, Taylor's snare has a very high pitch

I can't believe this guy's dead. Drummers have to be in the best shape of anybody in a band, and he certainly was. This performance was awesome. I knew he was a great drummer, but it wasn't until I saw this that I realized he was a drum-god.

Really hurt by Taylor’s passing on this week. As a fellow drummer it just sucks, and I never got to see the foos or coattail riders . Great song…wonder what it’s really about.

He would never have been the next Dave Grohl, he is a legend in his own right. They are drummers of different styles and Taylor was great on his own. He had nothing to prove to anyone
