Hi Ken the movie "Danger Close" recreates the events leading up to and the Battle of Long Tan 1966. In the Battle of Long Tan Australian troops fought off an overwhelming number of North Vietnamese Army troops and Viet Cong. It wasn't a battle in a jungle, rather the battle was fought in a rubber plantation. The Battle of Long Tan is commemorated in Australia on the 18th August (Vietnam Veterans Day). Lest we forget. Great shave too Ken. I must try TOBS one day.

Great video Ken. Pretty much all of Canada have laws making wearing masks mandatory. So I find my aftershaves last a little longer due to the mask (I have it on for 10 hours a day). It's also a great way to know if a scent is for you. I know California is hit hard with Covid-19. I've had family members in New York hospitalized with the virus. Thankfully everyone recovered. I was at London June of last year. I was in the St James area and decided to pop round to the TOBS shop and have a look. Just as I got up to the shop the guy was locking the door and taking the stuff out of the window 😤. Me and my Mrs had planned to go to London for a holiday in June, but Covid 19 put a stop to that. Compared to Geo F Trumper's shaving creams, TOBS creams are so much lighter, even fleeting I'd say. I prefer TOBS, Eton, Coconut and Lemon and Lime are in my rotation these days.

If you like those Gillette Wilkinson sword blades, try the original ones. They are harder to find, but smoother and the same sharpness of the Gillette branded ones. I swear by them. They are number 3 on my list.

I used Winter Reserve yesterday, two applications of it...good for about 3 hours maybe on me🤔 Depends on the skin. Surprised the cream isn't tobacco dominant given the name🙄, that's a shame as I love Tabac and Alt-Innsbruck. Picked up some Gillette/Wilkinson Sword Indian blades, will give them a shot here shortly🤞 Nice shave Ken💈💈 Still waiting for that three pass w/pick-ups shave and the Everclear splash post shave😉 Should be glorious... I’ve seen that movie and it’s definitely more forest than jungle. Now TOBS is my absolute favorite shaving cream!!! I just bought more… Sandalwood (of course) and Jermyn Street. I’ve still have Platinum and Royal Forest and probably more I can’t think of. While soaps do give better lathers I think for me it’s almost overkill in the fact that TOBS always gives me a comfortable irritation free shave. I also LOVE DR HARRIS… Windsor and Arlington FTW!!! But, like you said if it works then use it. Plus some of these soaps are getting expensive and I love the classic English scents. Can’t go wrong with the three T’s. On that note I just got my stainless Karve 3” with (SB) C plate so it’s definitely going to be a TOBS shave… question is with scent?

Great shave. I tried the Gillette Platinum blades and they worked amazing for me. The Silver Blue blades I tried before that left my face smooth, but my face felt tight afterwards. Oh well. Onto the next blade to try which is Voskhod. The following blade after that is the Gillette Wilkinson Sword

Yeah Ken, the Aussies and New Zealanders had guys in Vietnam. They have a strong military tradition going back to WW1, and that’s where the term ANZAC comes from: Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. If you’re interested in military history, look into the battle of Gallipoli. The song “I was only 19” by the band Redgum, is a pretty sad account of an Australian soldiers service in Vietnam. They had guys in Afghanistan too. I don’t know about Iraq though. When I was in, I got to spend month in Darwin with the Australian military and found them to be great guys. The Australian’s in general were just great people. Not a fan of vegemite though🤢

Kensurfs, huge fan! Thank you for being a classic gentleman. I have extremely sensitive skin. I have tried 6 blade cartridges, safety razors, and electric shavers. I always shave right after a shower, after a face wash, shave cream with a brush, and I use an aftershave. I always shave with the grain, but no matter what I get lots of ingrown hairs and razor bumps. The only thing I haven’t tried is a cut throat razor. Do you have any recommendations?

I didn’t soak the brush before, I just would wet it. I tried the skull recently and noticed a difference. Funny story and I hope you don’t get offended at all, but as we were shopping I saw it, and said hey that’s skull Ken uses from that shave channel I watch. She says, “the guy that looks like a mix of don knots and Marc summers?” I was like I guess so! 🤣

Great shave Ken. Loving the newly acquired tan sir - San Diego seems to have treated you well. Speaking of Vietnam...one of the most beautiful and inviting countries in the world. If you're ever in that region I advise checking out the Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park and utilizing Oxalis Adventure. I spent 6 weeks in Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam during the summer (it was hot...) of 2017 and absolutely loved it. Add it to your bucket list. P.S.
