Nice! That dark navy looks great.

Thx Lee! It's definitely easy to toss on over pretty much anything.

I agree. The dark navy is very sharp. I like the jacket.

Love this jacket, simple and clean. Right up my alley with this one. I agree with you on the seasons too. Anything approaching my body temperature is wrong on so many levels.

You have that embroidered one right?
@predwards8941
@predwards8941 8 ай бұрын
@@rockymtnstyle correct. But I have another chore coat from American Giant that is similar and I like to rock them both quite a bit. The embroidery is really cool on the TS Ojai one. The color is also kind of unique

Nice! I’ve got a mid blue hemp chore coat from Wellen for spring/summer and a wool ojai from TS for winter! Love both! As a heads up, I found the rings on the back of the buttons on the Ojai to be too small and found buttons falling off. I replaced the original rings with some larger ones from spare keychains and that did the trick. Hope it doesn’t happen to yours, maybe it’s just cause mine was made of wool but if it does that was my fix!

Hah! I love the industriousness of that fix. I'm going to start saving those things as I come across them just in case.

I know it's a different style, but how would you compare to Relwen's lighter-type blazers? I never liked the chore coat style as much but always loved the blazer look and fit.
@rockymtnstyle
@rockymtnstyle 8 ай бұрын
Good question, and I agree. Usually prefer a casual blazer to a chore coat. The Flyweight Flex Blazer is the only I have to compare, and the feel (mental and physical) wearing the two of these is quite different. The blazer is much more tailored and causes you to think a lot more about what the base layer is, since it needs to be cohesive, whereas the Ojai is a throw it on and go. So to me, the difference is more mental than anything, and both have a place in my closet currently (but space is at a premium these days!) Speaking of Relwen blazers, think i'll be getting either the Cord Trap Blazer or the Heritage Trap Blazer very soon for a feature review. Stay tuned!

Let us know please your experience with Relwen blazers. I tried a couple and didn’t fit me well, too long in the arms and torso

Love this Jacket, the pockets are so handy for work. Hey, what denim are you wearing here? The fit is perfect.
@rockymtnstyle

Thx! Totally agree...big fan of it. The gray denim is Brave Star Selvage "forest gray" 12oz. The indigo denim is also Brave Star, and I think it's 13.5oz "broken arrow" which I haven't seen offered since I bought these 2 yrs ago. Thx again for the kind words.

@@rockymtnstylethanks! What cut are they? Relaxed taper?
@rockymtnstyle
@rockymtnstyle 8 ай бұрын
The indigos were slim taper, the grays are slim straight. Both 33 waist. Believe it or not, found the slim taper to be much roomier than the slim straight even though I thought they'd be opposite based on the measurements.

Love the Ojai! I have two of them, very versatile Edit: the ring back buttons though. Don't wear a watch unless you don't mind the scratches

I own the Ojai in olive and just ordered it in green. I love the fabric and how “ready for anything” feels. How good do you say it is for an office environment?
@rockymtnstyle
@rockymtnstyle 7 ай бұрын
Good question . And yes, I agree with the "ready for anything" statement! If you're talking about wearing it as a pseudo-blazer while indoors at the office, I think as long as you are tall enough that it doesn't look overly long you'd be OK. Also if you wore it over a button-down and rolled the sleeves up but kept it mostly buttoned, that might be a smart look. I guess in the end, depends on your office dress code and all that... but if you do it right, it would be pretty cool I'd think! Lemme know if you try it out!
@albertoclonado
@albertoclonado 7 ай бұрын
Thanks! I’ve tried it in the office, where a sort of “everything goes” dress code applies. I agree that a button down shirt and nice shoes elevates the look, but I still prefer a blazer for important meetings. I’m still figuring it out

Sounds like you have it down pretty much! Try new stuff often, and keep the classics for "important" times. :)

I am looking for a Navy Chore jacket, on the darker/midnight side of Navy. Although the Ojai presents as washed, how dark is it truly?
@rockymtnstyle
@rockymtnstyle 6 ай бұрын
I'd say it's not on the darker/midnight side. It always depends on lighting, though, right? In bright light or sunny outdoors, the blue is easily seen. In the evening or dusk, it can look darker/midnight.

I dont usually wear a jacket till 30°f even then i usually stick with vests. This is nice but for what would strictly be a fashion piece for myself, seems a little pricey 🤷‍♂️

I will say when you consider free lifetime repairs the value proposition is more there for me. You get store credit not cash back but I do factor that into the price. I had to replace the sleeves on a long haul jacket. $130 job at the tailor and TS gave me the equivalent in store credit
