Thanks for turning me on to the Taylor Stitch Ojai jackets! I picked up the wool version in charcoal, and really like it quite a bit. The medium fits my 6' 1" 168lb frame perfectly. FYI they just launched a 25% off storewide sale - these are a steal at $126.00!

Have you ever worn any Le Laboureur jackets or other garments? I have two of their moleskin jackets, and one of their Ouessant sheep wool jackets. They're a fairly small scale french manufacturer that's family owned, has been around since the 50s, and the prices are ridiculously low for the quality they're putting out. All the manufacturing is still done in France, and they specialize in traditional French workwear styles, using cloth made in France. I'd definitely look into them.

I have this jacket it is amazing - best value for money. Great for Spring/Autumn(Fall). The only thing I don't like is the large button on the sleeves. Oh, and I have found that if you sweat onto the collar it seems to stain it with a weird color - kind of like it bleaches some of the green out.
@Stridewise

Haha glad you agree with that 'con' about the sleeve button, JB! And that someone agrees it's decent value. Haven't noticed that with the sweat, I wonder if there's a way to get sweat stains out of clothes... I haven't found one.. .

I don’t know if you’re gonna hear this at all but I would not worry about it like being considered that you’re like doing stolen valor or anything for wearing a military jacket I like to buy a lot of old military surplus gear because it’s usually a lot more affordable than most modern stuff and there’s a lot of it kicking around but I mostly buy from a variety of different foreign countries so because of that it’s not like anyone’s gonna think I’m in the military because no one knows of the chezc looks like
