To fully understand this vid you have to watch/hear first "All too well". Then you'll get why she gets the bride a red scarf as a present. It's iconic!! And a badass move if you ask me... Jake Gyllenhaal left her because she was too young and inmature for him (she was 20 and him 30), and that's why she is sitting here at the kids' table. That's her way of showing us how he saw her: as a kid. Also Taylor popping a cherry in a scene refers to Jake being her first time (more on that can be found in the meaning of the scarf in "All too well"). And yeah, she was not in the real wedding, it's just the guy thinking about her all the time. Fun fact: Jake talked in a interview about his organic shoes. Also, Taylor says in "All too well", "We are never ever getting back together" and "Begin again" that he laughed at her dreams, he didn't find her funny at all and he didn't like her music because it was not indie. So that's why she talks about those things in this song. Note that when she sings about "indie concerts" the camera shows us Aaron Dessner playing guitar. He worked with her in "Folklore", "Evermore", "Fearless TV" and "Red TV", and he is the lead of an indie band named "The National". I think it's Taylor's clever way to mock Jake, because now she has made two universally aclaimed indie records and won a Grammy for one of them. Awesome reaction, as always, guys!! In Betty it says “You heard the rumors from Inez” so she is a character of the story she just isn’t in the love triangle. She's not making videos for old songs really (even though she said she'll probably make some videos for songs that doesn't had videos and fans wanted them), but in those re-recordings she also adding songs that didn't make the album for the first time - The Vault Tracks. Original Red had 16 songs and 4 bonus tracks, but Red (Taylor's Version) has 30 songs, she add 9 songs, she did same thing with Fearless (Taylor's Version) and will do with every album. I Bet You Think About Me is from the vault, yes it's hard to believe that she has bangers like this in her vault, you should react to those vault tracks, all are amazing. She did All Too Well: The Short Film mostly because how much this song mean for fans, it's Swifties favorite song from her, so she wanted to make it special and recorded 10 minute version that we were begging since release of original Red and also made that short film for us. She's so amazing and this really shows how much she loves her fans that she's adding old/new songs on albums and also making videos for them, she's really the best.

This song goes hand in hand with “all too well!” The red scarf in this video is a reference to that song. Along with many lyrics and other nuances in this music video. Such as her sitting at the kids table, is a direct reference to how he made her feel like a child. And the lyrics of how she never fit in with his circle. My favorite connection between the two is these two lyrics: ATW “You lost the one real thing you’ve ever known.” IBYTAM “the love that you’re looking for is the love that you had.”
