This is fresh out the slammer not I hate it here lol . Think you've got the wrong clip for your title and thumbnail. 😅

The slammer is her previous relationship and she’s running back to an old ex of hers so she’s not talking about the same person.

You are right, this was a tour of sadness, I’m glad you got all the way through, and love your reactions. Sometimes we need stuff like this to drag us somewhere to feel something . We all feel like that at point in our life and I hope you have a good support network to help you through

It’s about leaving Joe (6 yrs) for Matty. She’s trying to prepare herself for it by saying well this relationship feels like jail now and I did what I could/I did my time so now I’m leaving because I know the guy I’m leaving for has promised me everything. And of course that guy was gone within a few weeks too. So I see this as a “moments before disaster” type song where she doesn’t realise how close she is to everything imploding.

I agree 31 songs was too much, I think the re-recordings put her in a place where she thinks the more the better but I don’t think it’s arrogant to write an album about a shit time in your life and not bending over backwards to find the positives, I actually appreciate the honesty in that sense. She said she needed to write this album and I get it cuz she said before that releasing albums helps her feel differently/ let go of situations. That being said, have I listened to this album much? No😂 I think my brain was so fried after the first listening it registered as labour in my brain so I listen to a few songs but the rest was just an info dump to me

This was an album she wrote about a year and a half before she released it. I feel like this was an album that needed to write to get some of her emotions out for herself. I think that’s neat for her to do, it shows that even though she’s a huge pop star she still is human like the rest of us.
