I think the way Taylor interviewed Alessia is the way she'd like to be interviewed, not being asked, WHO IS THIS SONG ABOUT??? But rather, what was the songwriting process, dissecting the song as a story, and talking about the music and not the boyfriends.

I love how interested and well researched Taylor was into Alessia's background and details of her life and record. Taylor does a really good job of interviewing Alessia here. She asked good questions and let Alessia answer them. It always amazes me when professtional journalists or talk show hosts talk over their guests answers or monopolize the interview. This is also a great format to have two songwriters talk about the process of writing songs and making albums.

Guys, everyone needs to back off of taylor in this video. what did she do that was so wrong? i mean yes, you can always find faults in people, but it also depends on how hard you're looking. you guys are so desperate to find those faults that you miss how talented she truly is. i know some people think she had her career handed to her and that's bullshit. no one can have their career handed to them. at some point they are going to have to work for what they want, that's how life works. in taylor's life, she was bullied before fame, but she made it through that. she's had her life judged by millions of people, most of whom seem to disregard the fact that she has feelings too. i admit, i'm a fan of her and maybe that makes me bias? i just admitted that!! i'm not oblivious to the things she's done wrong, but you have to remember that if you made the mistakes she made, it would be much easier for you than it would be for her. i'm not saying you have to like her, or even support her i'm just saying that the next time you decide to comment something rude about her, or anybody else, just remember what they've been through to get to where they are and that everyone makes mistakes

If you look at her first two albums, so many are about her experiences...and then there are several songs throughout her other albums that aren't about boys either. Now, most of her songs encompass that, but her past songs weren't about that as much. Her songs have a lot of meaning in them--she's a songwriter after all.
