What people don't realise about the song is... it's not supposed to be a masterpiece with great music and genius lyricism. It's just supposed to be an upbeat, fun happy love song...and that's exactly what it is.

This song and London boy make me so happy, Lover is such a great album but it sadly got overshadowed by Folklore

No, if the pandemic hadn't been, she would have gone on tour for Lover. But because of the pandemic, we have "folklore" and "evermore".

We adore this song we actually spent 2019 making paper rings and looking up tutorials 😂, but recently it just reminds us of the breakup and it feels bitter-sweet like how could Joe hear this and go no thanks

No, when we talk about the secret session (1989, reputation and Lover secret sessions) we talk about her inviting fans to her houses before the album comes out and playing them all of the songs, beforehand, usually with a little commentary what the song is about, like what were the circumstances when she was writing the songs etc. She also always did meet and greet afterwards with the fans, but like really proper meet and greet, that everyone really got like several minutes to talk to her. It's so sad to think that people would probably exchange homemade paper rings on the Lover fest like now they do friendship bracelets if the Lover fest wasn't ruined by the pandemic.

If I'm correct this is about Joe, which honestly makes it so depressing now considering how they broke up. It's not like it's his fault or anything, but she wrote this song about him in 2019 and they broke up in early 2023, so the fact that she broke up after never getting married and her writing "I wouldn't marry me either" in You're Losing Me as a parallel to this is... Rough, to say the least. She honestly sounds like a very fast-paced individual (much like this song and how most very large celebrities have to be if they want to sustain such a mega-famous status), so the song You're Losing Me is different from her usual songs (all too well 10-minute version is like a break-up song with a short diss track stealthfully spread throughout the entire song☠) yet also does such an amazing job at representing/expressing (through the music) the 'feeling' of her breakup. ***WARNING!!!~ Long ass comment ahead, just read the first paragraph if you don't want to read too much (or maybe approach it later, idk LOL) You're Losing Me is a slow song that (for Taylor) distances itself from the other break-up songs in the way that it's nothing like the vibe of Dear John and all too well, and that's because there's a depth and years of songs that she's written about him and also the fact that she doesn't really focus on him being a bad guy; it seems like she regrets and is angry at how the relationship as a whole played out, and I'm assuming that's because even if they've broken up, she doesn't have very many negative feelings towards him anymore (more the situation they were in, and even herself at some points, not just him). Basically: Most of her other songs are like "I felt this way, but I've moved on and I'm happy it's over, bye bitch I'm walking away from you now xoxo
