yeah, folklore is like this, more indie, folky...and especially long pond sessions are great, you can just really feel the emotion, plus Taylor always explains the song, where it came from etc. the lyrics are marvelous, the production is awesome, the whole album is just perfection and there is no wonder it won AOTY

Folklore is THE best album for many of us who have been with her since the beginning. It touches on her roots -- and brings In folk, indie, pop, and allllll the genre-bending goodness she is known for. Just be sure to read up/have ready the meaning of some of the songs -- learn about the trilogy of high school love triangle she writes about. Know that The Last Great American Dynasty is inspired by a true story. And that her then bf of 6 years wrote a couple of the songs with her (pen name is William Bowery). Exile is one. But this album is her peak for me. And I'm hoping Tortured Poets surpasses it because I can imagine anything better than folklore.

My advice as someone who has been in the position of losing their mind from an overwhelming about of stuff to do. Take a day or two off from recording anything, and just plan. Whether you make a spreadsheet on your computer or you write in down in a planner, just list everything you need to do in order, and don't forget to include what you need to do FOR YOURSELF. Schedule in breaks, food, appointments, off hours, schedule in bedtime if you have to. Don't run yourself ragged, and when you feel overwhelmed, just take a minute to close your eyes and remind yourself that you're one person who can only do so much. If that means people have to wait an extra day or two to get something, so be it! They can freaking wait. 😂❤

Wrapping my head around the concept of Shake it Off being on Folklore 😅. Folklore and Evermore are probably the least pop things Taylor’s done, and this is from the Long Pond Sessions (very acoustic versions of Folklore), which was pretty acoustically oriented to begin with. Beautiful songwriting on both Folklore and Evermore. The Long Pond Sessions video that these performances are taken from also includes Taylor talking to collaborators/producers Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner about the songs. It’s believed that Hoax is at least partly about the masters debacle, though she references the song being inspired by a few separate situations.

Reputation was the last of Taylor’s stolen masters. Lover and newer have always been owned by Taylor. So far that’s; Lover, folklore, evermore, Midnights, and on April 19, Tortured Poets Department. It’s worth mentioning that most of your favorite songs were released after Taylor got out from under big machine saying no to most of her ideas… but that also might be because you’re not into country or her plucky twang 😂 I suspect a lot of that twang was “encouraged” by big machine to play up her being from Tennessee as a way to get around her being so young in those years. In fact they only allowed her to write songs for other musicians to sing on records for a couple years because she was so young when she first moved there. But her poetry/writing has been winning awards since she was like 7 I think. Before she even picked up her first guitar.

Taylor is rerecording/has rerecorded all her albums from Reputation (her version is coming still) backward. All her albums from Lover forward (including Folklore, Evermore and Midnights) were recorded under her new record label that isn't stealing her music from under her. This was just an acoustic session special of the Folklore Album. Sadly, she didn't do the same for Evermore 😭😭😭

This is from a version of Folklore called “The Long Pond Studio Sessions”. The regular studio sessions are the first 17 songs, then all the songs are replayed in this style, more acoustic versions. Take care of yourself. Something med it’s okay to go slow, so you can go fast.

You MUST check out Billie's Oscars performance for What Was I Made For! She had so much texture in her vocal and a lovely vibrato in the last verse. It was incredibly good 😊 And patience is the perfect word for what Taylor has. She allows space and her silences are very purposeful. The intentionality is really wonderful to watch as a fellow vocalist. If you don't already know her, Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine is probably one of the best vocalists in the industry right now and I think you'd go crazy over her!

Your little speech at the beginning of the video requesting everyone to be patient due to how many reactions you have to do and you have another channel to create content for sounds like an excuse to me! There are 24 hours in a day! I don't see what the problem is! You can drink Redbull, 5-hour energy drinks, strong coffee and espresso. You can also buy caffeine pills pretty much anywhere. We would be okay if you ate several small non noisy meals during your videos. No chips, loud food like that. Nutrition drinks would probably be a good idea.
