What makes her different from other pop singers is that she always makes us feel things like what jake peralta said. It's not just an ordinary performance where the singer just sing what they've planned to sing or casually saying hi to the audience, but she always did this "I'm talking about my life my story and then I'll sing my songs" thing where i found it became one of her reasons why she still relevant and loved by so many people out there until these days. It's not just her music or her imagery of her career, but how she can come up with those songs, why the songs she sang are so important to her, what's the main story behind it. People can hate her for doing "ordinary pop songs" but they can't ignore or dismiss her impact on the industry. She is one of the greatest in our generation. She may not have the largest range of voice or techniques but she's raw. She makes music from her heart (that's why she keeps playing Love Story over and over even if the song is 10+ yrs old). There's some reasons why she became the Artist of the Decade.
