C'mon... we all know that an Oscar means NOTHING when it comes down who acted the best - it really comes down to the audience and not a bunch of other actors who live in a bubble where comedy, action, horror, and anything else but drama are not considered real movies. It is SO OUTDATED... but it's the box office and love from fans that is MOST IMPORTANT. I think many average individuals rather NOT win an Oscar and be remember in the hearts and minds of a global fan base for years to come versus win an Oscar and fad quickly in people's memory leading to "what was that movie about that thing during that time with what's-his-face called again?"
