They are both class acts! Foo Fighters having some already achieved huge fan base from years and years of talent. Taylor is newer on the scene but has outstanding music and stage presence. They are both one of a kind!! The only problem I see, and I'm genuinely surprised and put off by is, TALOR ASKS WAY TOO TOO MUCH FOR HER TICKETS!! There's only been one artist who could sing and dance well simultaneously, and that was Michael Jackson. David Lee Roth wasn't too bad either. Oh, I forgot gotta include Baby Metal. But most artists with elaborate dance troops and moves on stage actually do not sing while busting a move on stage. It's usually just too damn rigorous for most people. I don't see the appeal of Taylor Swift, but to each their own I guess. And Dave is a pretty stand up guy, but it's true it isn't just Taylor Swift, but plenty of artists today taking liberty with "backing tracks" and "perfect pitch" software used to sound "perfect" live. Who says music is supposed to be "perfect"? It's supposed to touch your soul, and express human emotion.

Taylor is not a rockstar, and that's fine for her and her audience. She never labelled herself as someone with a electric guitar shouting into a mic. Each music genre has its own appeal, the effort behind a well-executed pop concert performance is no less than an all-live band performance... Not to mention that the band of Taylor's show is no smaller than a rockstar's, they all play live, make mistakes, including Taylor herself. You can hear her voice being natural and sometime flawed in pitch, and as someone who's experienced her live, there's definitely no autotune software involved. It's already lame enough for a veteran artist like Dave to downgrade another genre of music to hype up his crowd (which is actually funny though, because it shows that he know where to tickle his audience), but even more stupid to pick a specific target to do so. Words hold great power, since he choose the most famous target out there, he will get bashed by this. Sounds fair enough for me!

I'm not going to argue with people who have no idea what the exact situation is for her shows, because I don't know exactly either- but from the clips I have seem, at least the most predominant vocals I can hear are live, since she stops to interact with security and fans often and there isn't a backing vocal playing when this happens. But more importantly, why does he or you care?? TS fans who attend her shows are there to see her in person, to sing along to her songs and see the spectacle of her shows. I cannot imagine they actually care if there is a faint backing vocal playing that helps her and the band and dancers choreograph and coordinate all of the moving parts going on and make sure the sound is as good as possible in an outdoor arena. Move.on and worry about something you actually care about.

Almost EVERY touring act plays along to a computer generated click track that keeps the band synced up with the backing track. I’ve been in this business for 40 years. I know, for a fact, that the Swift show, lights, sound, and backing tracks are all synced by computer. I’m not saying she’s lip syncing, she sings live. But all backing vocals and most backing instruments are pre recorded. Ever noticed that you hear Taylor doing harmonies with herself?? Of course you have. How’d she do that, LIVE, without a track?? I’m a fan and think her success is simply phenomenal, but there’s no harm in you knowing the truth , is there?

Someone in the band can hit midi footpedal to trigger some prerecorded taytay vocals to help her out when she's doing the theatrics. She seems totally live in her 3 song solo set with the acoustic guitar and piano. She's singing the rest of the time but it's easy to see there is extra help in the mix.
