If you love this, you may want to check out her live performance on SNL. The sax player on the stage, the aura she creates, just exquisite. This is one of Taylor's songs that not everyone talks about but may agree it's a very important song in her discography. The religious references in this song are really something else. So glad you love this great song.

I think most people agree that this is one of her great songs. Definitely one of the best on Lover. But the SNL performance is not great because very few people sound good on SNL with their notoriously bad sound. The sax player is the best part, but Taylor is not in her best form here.

Your reaction to this song is top-tier, no one has come that close to melting into a puddle and barely speak afterward. The SNL performance is the best rendition because it has more sax, I love that at the end she nods to the sax player giving his due. Guilty As Sin is the closest she has ever come to describing the end result of a fantasy I think you will like that one. Someone recommended Vigilante Sh!t from the Eras Tour Film, you should know the back story, it is about getting revenge on someone who did her dirty over her masters, her first 6 albums, it is not a romantic relationship, he was someone she detested. The song is very different, but it's the performance that is unique because Taylor has never been one to be naughty in any of her performances. Compared to other artists it would be tame, but for Taylor it is naughty, but, she does it with class and a bit of cheekiness. Watch where the hand goes but watch her face too. Eyes on the screen, no looking away; it is a short performance. Happy New Year
