Unpopular opinion- We know if there's one thing Taylor excels at... It's holding a GRUDGE or writing it into her music. Katy Perry, Nikki, Kimye, Olivia (allegedly although I still think that was brutal- pun unintended, to do to an 18year old who idolised her. Even IF she didn't ask for writing credits, she could have refused it, so she wouldn't get all those royalties. But she didn't. Because unfortunately it's a capitalist society there. With the Kimye stuff, even me, (not a big Stan of anyone really - I find it weird that people like to be called a "stalker fanatic"), it seems that they all played a part. Taylor claimed she didn't receive any phonecall at all. Then the narrative was changed after part of the video was leaked by Kim, to the "The call was about wanting her to announce it on Twitter when she cautioned him about the misogyny, that she didn't get sent the full song, etc. So why bring up something from this many years ago? Because she can? Because she is a billionaire? Or being petty? I am not really invested in the parties involved but I do think Taylor needs to learn to let go of all this feuding, because we'll "pride comes before a fall." One person I think who was innocent through most of her drama was Joe. I know I will probably get hardcore Swifties responding negatively to this, but I do feel that Joe was a positive influence on her. But she does have a big narcissistic trait, probably from the parents, (Scott working at Meryll Lynch, Andrea working in advertising...and a marriage that didn't seem healthy), so that is probably familiar to her. The fact that she didn't destroy Joe, makes me wonder whether that influence/experience or age helped to stop adding to the revenge list, and dare I say maybe has left a mark on her. Who knows. It has been a while since my Psychology degree!
